This too, all 3 characters in the image are mythical. You have Saint Grobia, patron of fools and vulgars, as the guy saying LIE!. You have Socrates, patron of reason, as the guy saying TRUTH! And you have the Ethiopian king Prester John as the wise king/judge. The player probably needs to make some call between these guys, maybe a question that the lady is asking from the balcony.

Maybe. I think the game is supposed to be loosely historical though. Prester John is mythical to us, but in the 16th century, people thought he was real. Marco Polo and other contemporary writers who are mostly reliable wrote about him as if he was a real ruler. There was a lot of speculation as to where his kingdom might have been located. There were even some Spanish maps drawn up.

Other than the color choices, I don't see a big difference between this and Pentiment. Regardless, the budget of an animated short film isn't going to be the same as the animation budget of a no-budget computer game.
