But even doubling the number of units would be a bit superfluous as long as magic remains completely OP.

They are clearly toning it down as seen from 1.2 patch. However as the system stays as it is now with 3 unit limit magic has to be op to make it playable.

Magic being completely OP is the only thing that makes crusade mode playable to me. I can't imagine going through that boring minigame without a "destroy the enemy army" button.

I love HOMM and turn-based strategy with units in general but as it is now they might as well just add a "destroy the enemy army" button for real because it is so constrained.

It just amazes me that especially Russians managed to get the HoMM style system THIS wrong. I thought HoMM3 was like a national sport over there.

It’s also the time to grab the brand new Free DLC: A Visitor from Distant Lands and get your own pet sovereign dragon that will assist you in Knowledge and Lore skill checks! Known for their wisdom, majestic sovereign dragons rarely leave their homeland of Tian Xia, and it is even more surprising to find one of them, young and brave, among the personal belongings of the heroes of the Fifth Crusade:

Some of you have certainly noticed the hints we’ve been dropping across our social networks last week. You have guessed it right - your journey to preserve the space-time continuum begins on 15th of February, the release date for the highly anticipated first story DLC: Inevitable Excess! The DLC will be available as a part of Season Pass as well as a separate purchase in major digital stores:

There is also news on the console release of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. The team is working hard on the console version of the game, and there's steady progress. However, as we went forward, it became clear that we do need that extra time after all. We made the tough decision to postpone the launch on consoles to early autumn, 2022
so we can deliver the best gaming experience on console – as well as address any remaining issues on the PC edition. We believe that in the end it will be better for the game and hope for your patience and understanding.

To arms, crusaders! Happy Lunar New Year!

I know Russians are basically Mongols but what is this constant "Lunar New Year" shit everywhere. Fuck off with this cheap Chink pandering. I doubt they play or even comprehend western RPGs in the first place.

Seasons Pass content seems very underwhelming. The post game DLC#1 seems cool, but the others? Meh. I will still be waiting for the "it's actually done version" before I really dig into WotR. Abstaining has been killer.

I am very happy that good developers see the rise of China. I think the game quality will increase across the whole industry if the West is considered the second market.

Could be interesting if it's hard enough. I assume truly invincible opponents is not code for multiple Vavakia Vanguards.

still struggling to make a satisfying build for a trickster (preferrably arcane) caster. i know you can get x4 crit on rays but that requires such a tunnel vision and it's so goddamn late. it's also fucking boring. and the only other idea i've got is a druid with some extra/impossible domains. not very mythic i should say.

pox on me for picking mythics for themes and rp i guess.

*accepting suggestions

Wrath can only fail in China because a) it has no good porny waifus, b) it's too fucking hard for the average Chinkoid and c) spooky scary skeletons and demons make the CCP unhappy.

e: That said, maybe the CCP Version of the game will actually be good. :smug:

China changes Fight Club film ending so the authorities win

The ending to cult 1999 US film Fight Club has been removed for viewers in China, and replaced by a screen with a message saying the authorities won.

The original ending saw Edward Norton's narrator killing his imaginary alter-ego Tyler Durden, played by Brad Pitt, before bombs destroyed buildings in the climax to a subversive plot to reorder society, dubbed Project Mayhem.

In China, before the explosions, a message now says the police foiled the plot, arrested the criminals and sent Durden to a "lunatic asylum".

The new finale tells viewers: "Through the clue provided by Tyler, the police rapidly figured out the whole plan and arrested all criminals, successfully preventing the bomb from exploding.

"After the trial, Tyler was sent to lunatic asylum receiving psychological treatment. He was discharged from the hospital in 2012."

Director David Fincher's film has recently been added to streaming platform Tencent Video, and Human Rights Watch described the changes as "dystopian".

Chuck Palahniuk, who wrote the 1996 novel that Fight Club was adapted from, wrote sarcastically on Twitter: "This is SUPER wonderful! Everyone gets a happy ending in China!"

The author added on Substack: "How amazing. I'd no idea! Justice always wins. Nothing ever exploded. Fini."

Dissident artist Ai Weiwei also posted a link to a story about the changes, with the question: "What Would Tyler Durden Say?"

US senator Ted Cruz, a Republican representing Texas, wrote: "The second rule of Fight Club is 'we will do and say whatever the Chinese communist censors tell us to do and say.'"

The changes were flagged up on social media by outraged viewers who had previously seen pirated copies of the original.

It's not uncommon for Chinese censor to make cuts to Western films, but it's more rare for them to change an ending.

Some social media users made light of the new Fight Club ending.

Deskari would win in the China version
