Don't know if it's just me but I'm having trouble with those crusader battles. You get some shitty starter units and the game throws gargoyles and other enemies with high damage reduction meaning you have fuck all way of damaging them. The battle before you move into Drezen is especially bullshit and I'm not sure how they expect you to win against that. I feel like I'm missing something because I didn't have this much trouble when I played the beta.

Global spells were big in Beta. Buy a bunch of Clerics and Smite ‘em or clear that whole side of the map to build up troops. Many of the General’s spells and abilities weren’t working in Beta so assuming some are now? Use those?

I was right. Typical Owlcat design. Game starts to show its cracks after Act 1 real bad.

Im currently fighting against 20 gargoyles with my starter crusader army. Think Heroes of Might and Magic style battles.
I kill about 1 gargoyle per turn. There are 27 of them.

Ok, so I'm going through the game as my standard Cavalier. Decided to just respec to something else after getting to level 7, since I'm not playing footman cavalier. My impressions:
-Some of the archetypes are just there to either remove one of your class attributes, or switch it with some different class. At this point they should just let you customize your dream-class and leave the ones that are in as a suggestion. At this point some of the choices make little sense. Why can I play mounted arcane caster, but not mounted divine caster. Why in the world is there no Paladin archetype that has a mount
-Companions range from good to bad so far. Seelah is your run of the mill stronk womyn that acts like a 14 year old boy. Cammelia and Zann are rather meh. Ember is fine and actually leaves some impression, but I only had her in my group for 20 minutes. I have a feeling she's was written by Avellone. My favorite companion so far is my horse
-Lot of trash fights just like in Kingmaker.
-Turn-based combat feels good. Especially choosing best charge targets as cavalier
-The entire concept kinda cheapens the concept of demons. In normal RPGs they are end-level enemies, but now we have demon equivalents or orcs, ogres etc.
-The implementation of mounted combat seems a bit silly. Before now nobody could ride a horse, so nobody noticed that they weren't included. Now you need to be a member of a dedicated special class/archetype to have a combat steed, and from what I've seen none of the companions is a member of this class. It's a game about medieval fantasy adventuring and riding a horse is more rare then being able to use magic
