Don’t sleep on picking up a Hellknight Order (along with Heavy Prof) on Hellknight Signifier or whatever funky things you want to do with Loremaster.

AT, Theurge, or Winter Winter Witch are more straightforward.

Eldritch Archer is probably worth it to use a XBow with wide crit range to get more crits on Hellfire Rays since your BAB will get high just from all the lvls.

So can I use my sorc spells for Ranged Spellstrike? I thought I'd be limited to my Magus spellbook which won't be about much as I've been focusing on Charisma and somewhat on Dex, not really on Int.

Best way to check something like that is start an inevitable excess character and test it quick before sinking a ton of time into a campaign playthrough for a concept that may not work.

For example, if you combine Slow and Phantasmal Killer, you'd cast it on a target who'd have Slow and Phantasmal Killer cast on them but everyone else in the AoE would only be affected by Slow?

You choose two spells and then which AoE type they use (along with which spell school and save they hit).

So for Slow + Phantasmal you could choose for both effects to be single target or both AoE. You could also make it go for fort or reflex saves (for phantasmal killer only the first save will be affected).

You can do some crazy shit with it but I'd recommend testing it out first for yourself to see what works and what doesn't. The Bloodlines or whatever also have some crazy shit you can do.

Aeon is just flatly amazing on any full BAB class let alone one that has bonus against Outsider.

That being said I really want to do caster Aeon to make use those unique spells you get on Ch 5 but there is no merging so your spells won't scale in harder difficulty which kinda sucks

They gain MC attax that Dispel boss self-buffs inherently (saving a party slot) and group immunities.

the problem is the unique Mythic Path related spells scaling off only on Mythic Level is terrible especially for DC enemy targetting spells. I am Aeon level 10, I can create blackhole... that does nothing because at anything above Normal enemy save is so jacked up that it doesn't matter

that's with Aeon that can already reduce enemy save through Gaze, using some DC boosting item.

Any way to deal with the fucking crystals without getting at least two petrified party members? The only thing that works is Polar Ray insta-killing them because of the Dex damage. That is if the insane Subsonic Hum even lets me get the spells off in time. I've read somewhere that Freedom of Movement prevents petrification, but I'm fairly certain that I've had Freedom of Movement and got petrified by them before. I've also read that Mind Blank makes you immune to the Subsonic Hum, gotta try that. Still, these are level 8 spells and I don't have a lot of those, I hope there's a better way.

Well, in the past the Bane of Spirit Force ring enabled you to make short work of them. Unless the whole party was stunned first, of course

TTT fixes that. Didn’t vanilla too at some point? You’ve still got the usual ways to debuff enemy saves (shaken, sicken, entangle, et al) along with Hexes on bosses and the like if you want to be a save beater.

Biggest problem with Aeon spells is that you’re already Swift-flooded. Would have to be build-around that comes online late and forgoes the best path ability (aeonbane) which requires attacking. Even for a caster touch attack spells + aeonbane is hard to beat.

Takes three rounds to get petrified.

Kill them first (vulnerable to sonic with very low reflex) or you know get your own saves up slacker. Well-versed ftw.

Hum doesn’t have infinite range. Use some tactics, Wrath isn’t a blobber.

Normal spells are spell level + casting stat.
Mythic spells are spell level + casting stat. For abilities it's MR + casting stat.

It's not inherently weaker it's just that you need to stack equipment and class bonuses past normal and mythic are not supported well here (neither are things like class auras/abilities or hexes). Even for spells certain magic schools get far more DC bonuses than others
