Guys does anyone know when that DLC with the Tiefling race is coming out?

Also: in terms of the +5 Dodge Monk Robes that are equippable by Good characters, is there more than one of those available or is it a unique item?
I just realised it says in the fucking thread title, Dec 6th. Doh.

I haven't finished the game yet, but the thing I found more concerning than anything else is the gradual creep of 'not all races are evil'.
Ekun's quest follows the concept actually. I was surprised.
2 child trolls you spare then come back and try to kill you. after downing them with arrows BAM calmly goes: "Well, figures. I was right."

I suppose this is the silde you wanted?
Game is won, the ending slides were satisfying and the final slide was quite bittersweet since I kind of liked Linzi. Time for a 2nd run, maybe I managed to learn something and git gud in the mean time (or at least not suck as much). :)
Wait, but you said Dugath became chieftain in your game. Nevermind then, thanks for sharing anyway, many guides lacks of this ending and it would be good to know what the end.

Ok, I'm at page 54 of this thread so far (I don't do first-day purchases, so I wait until the honeymoon is over), but I caved in and started playing two days ago.

I have never played a game that is more fitting to the Codex. This is the number one game for us. It might be based on Baldur's Gate, but it's much better.

I was thinking of making Dragon Quest XI my game of the year, but it is no contest compared to this.

Ok, off to playing some more, and catching up with this thread in between.

It's fucking great, isn't it? The Codex quest is a highlight later in the game FYI.
And I know this is quite a long thread but you'll have plenty of time to catch up during loading screens

We should play Bug Bingo.

Every time someone answers a question about Bugmaker with "It is a bug." we all skull a beer. See how long before the whole of the Codex is roaring drunk.

So how are we supposed to deal with the entire room full of Wild Hunt mobs? They just melt fully characters down with 50+AC down just the same. Paralysed even after Freedom of Movement as well.

Indeed:

1) It is unfinished and buggy as fuck

2) It is written by Avellone (This means it is a masterpiece. Witcher 3 was not written by Avellone, means it is garbage. This is the thought process of the average codexer)

3) It is based on a convoluted fork of a 15 year old edition of DnD rules, and no attempt at adopting it to computer gameplay was made

4) Bonus points because it is an indie production made somewhere in Siberia, company offices inside an old Gulag or something. Gives prestige

5) Extra bonus points because it has no proper tutorial and normal mortals can't find the patience to trudge through this shit. This makes it RPGCodex game of the century right there. It's always great if you can be a poser in front of your friends and can claim they missed out on the best game of humanity because they don't have your supposed intelligence, smarts, and good genes. It makes you feel superior, makes you forget the fact that you are a short fat nerd with a dwarf beard, man boobs, and no life.

Yup, perfect game for the codex.

Sirocco and acid fog, with something like tar pit to hold them inside. Polar midnight if you have it. Layer the field & then initiate combat by a fireball or another long range spell, to lure them into the mass aoe spam.

I am far too intelligent and my genes are too amazing to respond to this slight. Good day Sir.

1) You mean if you play it now instead of waiting as reasonable people should do.
2) Witcher 3 is bad, sorry to tell you. Beside, in your signature you talk about storyfags having ruined everything and you probably consider Witcher 3 the epithome of RPG genre? A visual novel where all you gotta do is to move between different spots in a void open world? You are the evil you insult in your own signature.
3) It is based on a combination of rules that (almost) everyone knows. You can base the game on such a system because it is thought to be rewarding on his own. I would not get any reward trying to understand Pillars of Eternity rules (because they are contained only in PoE games), nor anyone will remember these rules in the following years, nor there is the same amount of thoughts that is behind D&D (and even D&D shows limits).
4) +1
5) What your statement misses is that you can either aim for your game to be played by everyone, or you can aim for a certain elite of players. Nowadays no one targets the second group, so you can count on the fact that here people are excited by it.

Witcher 3... A visual novel where all you gotta do is to move between different spots in a void open world?
It boggles one's goddamned mind that how can anyone say something this retarded. It's like saying "duuuuhh, Witcher 3 is shit because it is a National Geographic documentary". Seriously, your comment makes just as much sense. Be edgy, shit on games if you want, but make some fucking effort, without telling stupid thing like this.

J_C Continuing this would be off topic (if you wish we can discuss about it on witcher 3 main topic). It's not edgyness. I dissected the reasons and the why I don't like the game at all and why I consider it a total failure in the topic.

Anyway, games like TW3 are the reason I don't trust reviews anymore and I actually registered here on RPG codex (even if the amount of silly things I read here is starting to increase).

By the way, my review is here: The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition

Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut Pathfinder: Wrath
1. Final act - I teleport to Varnhold to find Maegar Varn. I find him already dead, but that doesn't stop him from talking to me and joining the final assault.
2. The Shadow of Guard Dude... Gesten... Kestern... you know who. Greets me and joins final efforts. And then he starts to attack a random guard in a strange manner.

In a weird way, I'm impressed. Amazing mongol technology.

1. I belong in the group that is waiting for 2020 to come and the game to be semi-fixed. The question is, how can all you spergs defend a game you haven't played?

2. Witcher 3 is a passable action adventure game with RPG elements. The gameplay is boring but the world building, characters, and story, is top notch. The perfect storyfag game. If you ask why i enjoyed a storyfag game so much, you have to understand i fell for a bait and switch. Witcher 1 was incline and i got into the universe and the books, so i had to suffer the abomination that was 2 and the meh that was 3 just because i got so immersed in the story. It does not happen that often for me.

3. You have a point, but thing is, PoE rules make more sense for a computer game and are not that hard to learn, it takes 2-3 hours to begin to grasp what the fuck is happening. Besides, PoE system is just a recreation of the 2nd edition system, just more streamlined for a video game. Even the fucking spells are essentially renamed DnD spells

So how are we supposed to deal with the entire room full of Wild Hunt mobs? They just melt fully characters down with 50+AC down just the same. Paralysed even after Freedom of Movement as well.
Sirocco and acid fog, with something like tar pit to hold them inside. Polar midnight if you have it. Layer the field & then initiate combat by a fireball or another long range spell, to lure them into the mass aoe spam.

Sirocco got nerfed a bit and acid fog barely does any damage to them I found. Do multiple clouds stack, I never could confirm that. It's still the most practical answer but good luck getting off that stuff when you later zone into a room and immediately get shot down by a group of them and a monarch. :despair:

Takes a bit longer and I had Jubilost spam force bombs at the monarch at the same time, but it still works, at least on challenging. Also, none of my casters were specced towards aoe spam, lacking the relevant spell focuses. With a fully focused caster it would work even better.
