Some of those ascendancies seem very cool. Some I think I just don't understand "remove all energy shield, damage you would take is reserved as life instead (until you take no damage for 1 second).".
Doesn't that just mean you can't heal and lose all energy shield?
wildspeaker having headhunter seems fun. Enemies having 20% life reserved while nearby is the most ??AWESOME???WHAT?? thing I've seen in poe in a long time.
But if I play this league, I'm playing Daughter of Oshabi I think. Twice as many spellslingers active? Yes please. The shrine one seems like it would be fun, except I don't think I actually want to click on that many lesser shrines?
That's not headhunter, it's inspired learning. So 1 jewel. Wildspeaker seems very much the "leveling ascendancy" if you don't opt for minion scaling. Whisperer being the more advanced one that has scaling.
As far as the life reservation thing (on yourself), that's one of those things that makes no sense as read but is a "multiple uniques interacting" kind of effect that can be made OP.
I do think charges generation without some inbuilt scaling in the ascendancy is kinda silly. So with Whisperer you have potential because you can scale off spell damage increases, about 80% of the ascendancy is extra bits that let you scale damage, but Wildspeaker spends SO many points just to get free charges with no added effects in a lot of the nodes. For example, spending 4 nodes to get what Whisperer gets for 2 in terms of charges. Sure you can share it with minions/party, but if you are playing solo I'd say it's strictly inferior for 90% of players. Added flat phys from wolves + minion damage increases buffing your own damage is nice, as is potentially double damage, but it feels way more pointstarved than Whisperer. Whisperer can get 80% or so of the desirable nodes in 1 character. Wildspeaker is more like 50%, or even 40% of the desirable ones being available in one build.
