I'm not a huge fan of this game, but this thread is full of tryhards trying to fit in by crying about a new big name game, as usual.
Pretty much. Its fun game to play for a while but it has no interesting skill "ceiling" to achieve. If you are competent at fps you will dominate from the get go. And then get frustrated, because some shitter pressed Q awesome button and instagibbed you.Its "fun" but not worth paying for. Should have left it FTPOpen beta for everyone tomorrow anyway. May download and check it out. Expectations are low.

Its pretty much TF2:The Easy Mode
TF2 at least had enough common sense to have each character distinguishable enough that even in a big firefight you could tell who you're facing. Its pretty much TF2:The Easy Mode
Example? I haven't played much for a year or so but I never remember seeing anything that ruined the silhouettes. And yet, Valve were pretty quick to throw that 'feature' under the bus once they realized they could rake in money from selling hats and other cosmetics.TF2 at least had enough common sense to have each character distinguishable enough that even in a big firefight you could tell who you're facing.
Some cosmetics make it pretty hard to tell some classes apart...seemingly on purpose.

I'm not seeing it - the body shapes are what you're supposed to be looking at, not whether they have a vest.
Zenyata is also cool but his healing is not that good I'd imagine. Haven't played other supports yet but seeing how impactfull they were when played by team mates this makes it a valid conjecture.
I can see this being a fun game to jump in and doing a few rounds every now and then. Would not pay full price though.
Obviously you have a thing for pink haired Russian girls.I like Zenyatta. It took a few matches to get a grip on how to play him but his healing is really good and his damage is pretty decent too. I guess most people will play Mercy because she moves a lot faster but having a team with Zen and Mei can really fuck the other side up
I came into this thread ready to bash this thing, because fuck Blizzard. I started watching the cinematic trailer, got bored and stopped after a minute. I started watching the gameplay trailer, and...call me a fag, but I want to play this. For years now, we've gotten no FPS games that aren't Call of Duty or its clones. Here we've got an FPS that uses colors other than gray and brown, involves fast movement in three dimensions, and has varied gameplay depending on which character you choose. Isn't this what we've been saying we wanted for a long time?
Why should I want a TF2 clone with childish fantasy art style?
This is what I wanted for a long time:
