Well, they did say that the maintenance will take at least 7 hours.

Also, ran a few tests with a friend of mine. Those triple dual cannons are even more OP than I ever thought possible. A Fleet Escort with mediocre equipment and far from optimal BO abilities can give the current Gombe Stream an extremely hard time and can consistently kill it. Basically, they need to nuke-nerf the fuck out of all Escorts and BoPs while buffing cruisers and buffing the living hell out of science vessels if they hope to make the game have non-bullshit space combat balance (one of our non-Codex regulars, mary, has some experiences on this too: In PvP arena, the KDF will win 16 times out of 17, the one only possible type of loss in a battle coming from BoP players just staying cloaked and not attacking out of stupidity, with Feds getting enough kills from the non-cloaked ships).

Season 6 is live. I'll get to setting up our starbases once I'm done with this morning's gym workout.

EDIT: Also, I've started using a lot of Aux batteries. It helps to easily set up CHARGE UP ALL 'DEFLECTOR' FIRE 'DEFLECTOR' death ray for maximum power.

People in STO forums are raging about the new fleet ships...they basicly cost 20 dollars if you don't have T5 Zen/C-Store ship and 5 dollars if you have ZEN/C-Store ship. This time I gotta agree with the ragers that this is pretty fucked up, gotta grind lot of ship and pay lot of money for marginally better ships.

If they're only marginally better, it shouldn't be an issue. So you better define marginally better right now.

AFAIK the fleet-versions have extra console slot and a bit more hull HP than the regular version.

EDIT: People are raging because Branflakes told in podcast interview that Fleet refits/retrofits would be "significantly cheaper" than C-store ships...he probably will say that he meant that upgrading from Tier 5 C-store ship to Fleet-version is lot cheaper.

Well I've now started our first two Fleet Starbase projects: Both our KDF and Fed fleets are doing the Featured Project, which cost 200,000 Dil.

Also, I think this thing may cause a Dil Exchange collapse.

Remember to give at least some of our members permissions to start projects and contribute to projects.

I've given everyone the right to contribute to projects. But before I start setting up more shit... Gentlemen, we have got to come up with a way to abuse the fuck out of the Fleet Mark system for maximum profit.

PS: I meant that the Zen->Dil ratio might collapse if the demand for Dil rises sharply. Could even drop down to 200:1.

So is Zen worth the same as cryptic points, in-game and in Kwabuck?

100 to 80. :( I still have some Zen left over from my Rusty Heart days, but I'm holding off on conversion.

Zen is cheaper than CP though, since it's pegged to Kwabuck instead of Euro. 1000 Zen costs 9 euros with PayPal tax, which is what 800 CP used to cost.

YES and always HAVE been, dont tell me you are one of those people that cannot into math.

It seems PWE finally got fed up with the American Educational system and make it everyone use Zen so they dont have to see people posting dumb things because they fail at math.

Is Cryptic trying to kill the game? The contraband doff assignment requires almost double contraband now, the forge missions are offline, the exchange is not working, Kerrat is still bugged to hell and back, and most of the empire defense missions and some fleet actions can get bugged with huge white blobs of BLOOM that make your machine cry and slow the game down to a crawl.

Do they code with their feet or something?

You are a lucky one if all you did was pass by unnoticed. Every other time I visit Drozana station I come out with at least one new moron wanting to add me to their friends' list, "show me their bridge" (*facepaw*), or courting me like some perfect paladin guy when all I want is to go back to blow up martians and steal their stuff.

Actually the Exchange IS working fine, it's rather that it's had a veritable explosion of activity, with a huge number of "ghosts" as a result because the game cannot keep up with the amount of selling and buying going on. We were lucky, actually, I managed to snatch 20 Phaser Satellites for 10k credits, had to buy the rest at the new rate of 100k per satellite.

The whole Fleet Starbase thing has thrown the entire in-game economy into a state of turmoil in general, the Dilithium Exchange rate has dropped by 45 points in just one day, the starbases have generated THAT much demand (luckily, I got some Zen sold while the going rate was still 310, so I have 420k in storage for each fleet's needs). White quality doffs in the right categories now cost 300k+ on the Exchange is another good example.

Can't say anything about Kerrat, but our only other regular PvP:er (something I would *never* do at the moment, seeing how broken to hell and back the ship balance is) hasn't said anything about problems.

As for Drozana, I haven't yet concluded whether it or Club Caprice is worse. Caprice has more furries and some unbelievably ugly costumes and backstories, but Drozana is terrifying in its own lame way. Though at the very least in Drozana you can pass completely unnoticed as long as you're a proper Starfleet officer or Klingon (and male), since non-grimgrittyhardcore and non-females are left alone in my experience. Woe for ye if you're an Orion female.

Also, I'm going to become King Space Jew of our fleet, as I'm about to sell my D'Kora for four times the profit!

Well I avoid Drozana due to that light trick that eventually starts gives me a headache.

Honestly the very worst thing I heard was not in Drozana but rather in SFA were some ... furry was looking for a Caitian mate, to my horror as I was playing my Caitian Tactical.

(And again I apologize for not being online, I hope its just one more month)

Club Caprice: I got hit on while running around in the place with my male Power Armor character. I don't want to remember what they said. That's really creepy. But at least you don't need to enter the place.

Drozana: It's true that they don't pay any attention to males, but on the downside, unlike Club Caprice, you have to go through the place to do some quests so you can't avoid reading their LARPing. In fact I'm going to have to go through it again right now! Fricking Devidians.

By the way, anyone knows what happened to the community missions?
