Going for a classic fantasy setting seems a bit boring, however we don't know anything about it yet. If they manage to create something that would be comparable to what they did in Mask of the Betrayer in terms of atmosphere and writing it will be awesome. If they manage to throw in some half-way decent combat (even if it's RtwP) it will be even better.

I suspect that they got some deal with Gabe. Otherwise why would they force you to use steam?I pledged blindly before noticing that it's steam only.
So, they are still leaving some space for a group of old talented ultra-orthodox developers to make a real traditional RPG with turn-based combat and party creation.

RTwP is obviously "the thing" I mentioned I didn't like. I'm not fond of RTwP in general.
