Piko releases Glover the N64 platformer:

Apparently they "redone" the game from the original source code of N64 version. I think this is the first time they did more than mere emulator rerelease.

Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming! Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.

Looks like whoever captured these doesn't know how to play with a controller, at 0:29 he basically missed all shots in SiN: Gold despite the enemy not moving at all :-P.

AFAIK Steam Deck even has a gyro for more precise aiming and i don't think it needs to be explicitly supported by a game to work.

How do these guys even exist and keep working? Nobody buys those games, you'd get a couple hundred buyers at best, as the games are all hideously unattractive to anyone who didn't simply play them back then but also developed fond memories of them.

As for Pixel Games, it is ran by one person whose day job is web developer at some e-commerce company. I imagine Piko is not so different.

Only Nightdive and probably Ziggurat are serious business employing multiple developers doing any meaningful work with these rereleases.

Erbe Software, the company rereleased some random old adventure games made in Spain, now rereleases some 8-bit PC games made in Spain.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
From what I recall, Erbe Software were the biggest publisher of 8-bit games in Spain during the 1980s, to the point they'd often rebrand games published in other countries for the Spanish market.

Topo Soft was a very prolific developer for bizarre Spanish games during the 1980s, some of which haven't been translated into English. Their biggest hits include a football game that sold 100.000 copies in Spain alone (in 1987 no less!) and an isometric variant of Pac-Man that ended up being used by Pepsi for a competition in Japan.

My personal favorite Topo Soft game is a backwards take on Alien in a side-scrolling platformer where you control the monster as it infiltrates a space station and looks to ensure its future by impregnating ten crew members.
