The best western cRPGs are certainly better than the best jRPGs.

I'd rather rehash discussions of Bloodlines or Wizardry 8 than discuss jRPGs. I admit there are a few good jRPGs, but most of them are carebear garbage.

Also, there were some excellent western cRPGs released last year.

JRPGs are definitely more polished than most of the cRPGs. Meanwhile they are usually too story-focused with a lot of cringe anime tropes. I personally like playing some doujin staffs and eroge for the innovative and complex combat system but most of the JRPGs are just boring.
