I'll give credit to that ending, it sure made me think more then any other ending in fighting game history...about how utterly retarded and cringey it was.

Most of these endings are disappointing, so far I liked:

1. Noob (darkest one, guy's is just total asshole)
2. Kano (projections of his fantasies, lulz)
3. Kung Lao (Onaga!)
4. Scorpion / Sonya (that ones expand MK universe for villains of new level of thread)

But I'm ok with JC/Cassie/Jax/Jacqui cosidering their main stories was full of slice of life stuff.

Cool story

This might be the most out of character ending I've ever seen.

So first he talks about how his family should not get in the way of him doing the right thing for everyone. He wants to fix shit, probably will lose Vera and Jacqui, possible bittersweet ending. Alright, sounds like Jax.

But then he decides he wants to fix it only for the black people instead of "everyone"...?? What? Anyone else find that a bit random and tacked on? I don't think he ever brought up any "racism" sentiments ever throghout the entire series. Even after the reboot.

I hate to say it, but even Jacqui (who pretty much deleted herself from existence, just so that her dad doesn't have to ever experience being a Revenant), had a much better and logical ending than that.

To be fair, they haven't been good at endings in a long ass time. MK4 is still king when it comes to arcade endings. :smug:

The Jarek trilogy in MK4 is still the funniest shit this franchise has ever produced.

All the endings, had trouble direct linking it.

I like Erron Black's ending so much that the character is growing on me when in mk X I couldn't care one way or another.
Johnny Cage's one was good too,I like the whole moral that your experiences define who you are, even the bad ones...Well ok he kinda cheated at the end but that's understandable.

Just watched the story and i'm glad Kronika is not Frost from a different timeline, at least at no point is this ever mentioned by anyone in the story. That would have been truly retarded if it was an actual thing.

If that story spoiler is trve... awesome:

Frost and Kronika are the same person from different time periods. The cyber Lin Kuei are time cops. Geras is future Jax, well his soul in a golem/machine.
You get to make choices during the story.
1st choice is during chapter 3, you play as either Shao Khan or Kotal Khan and determine the ruler of Outworld.
2nd choice is in chapter 6 as young Liu & young Lao on who to give the keys of time to Kronika or Korrupted Raiden.
3rd choice is in chapter 9 as Hanzo & Kuai on whether to pursue Noob or stop Frost.
Final choice is 3 ways in chapter 12 as Jacqui & Cassie side with Young Raiden or Korrupt Raiden or Revenant Liu Kang.

Deaths:
Reptile killed by Erron Black
Ermac killed by Erron Black
Shao Khan killed by Kotal Khan (depending)
Kotal Khan killed by Shao Khan (depending)
Old Jax kills himself to erase Geras from time
Shinnok killed by Kronika
Kenshi/Takeda/Jin killed by Geras & Frost
Old Kuai Lang killed by Noob Saibot
Hanzo killed by Scorpion
D'Vorah killed by Jade

Cameos
Hotaru
Li Mei
Dagon
Sindel
A lot of these are actually wrong.

Korrupt Raiden just disappears near the beginning of the game when the timeline merging happens. What a waste honestly, because i always thought he was a pretty cool idea, a defender that decides to kill his enemies before they attempt to conquer his realm. Instead, he tortures Shinnok, helps the Special Forces in taking down what is basically the home base of Shinnok, and when the timeline merger happens he's apparently erased from reality. And he never shows up again, only regular Raiden appears.

Havik's assist has to be removed so will he be a DLC?

BTW Sho Kahn is the most pathetic jobber ever, even worse then Reptile and Ermac in MK9/MK10. He dies in second fight and his only succes is to capture Kotal and that's only thanks to Kotal being unconsious.

They turned JAX into a LITERAL NAZI in his ending LOL

JAX’S MORTAL KOMBAT 11 TOWER ENDING GETS WOKE
Posted on April 21, 2019, 12:40 am By Billy D

NetherRealm Studios has just really fallen way off the bandwagon of political incorrectness. Everything about Mortal Kombat 11 seems to be a preachy, Liberal-infused, Left-leaning, regressive piece of propaganda. From the women being dressed like they’re Caliphate-compliant, to the men being dressed like they’re ready to audition for the disabled mutant version of Magic Mike, Mortal Kombat 11 is a complete and utter disgrace as far as edgy, counter-culture content is concerned. Heck, in an alternate reality it would probably be mocked endlessly from top to bottom in a parody of offensive jokes and grotesque satire from a proper Mortal Kombat game. But here, in clown world, NetherRealm decided to lay all their Social Justice Warrior-influenced cards on the table, putting politics before profit in a number of ways, one of which includes Jax Briggs’ Tower Ending in Mortal Kombat 11.

YouTuber Lost Ambush ashamedly let loose the Klassic Tower Ending for Jax Briggs ahead of the actual release of Mortal Kombat 11, and you can check it out for yourself below.

The reason I say Lost Ambush was ashamed of the ending was because they were too scared to read the opinions of real gamers after seeing the like/dislike ratio getting hammered by people downvoting the ending into oblivion.

So they responded by completely disabling the comment section on the video in hopes of keeping people from discussing the ending and railing on NetherRealm for getting woke and kowtowing their creative content to the kakistocratic coterie of the Intersectional Inquisition.

In a separate video Lost Ambush explains why he decided to disable the comments on the video in the comment section of the Johnny Cage ending video.

Found out what happened with the Jax Ending comments. The #WakandaForever ending set off a sh!tstorm in the comment section and he didn't want to deal with it.

There’s a simple solution to preventing people from trolling the content:

Don’t get woke.

So the general gist of the ending is that in Jax’s Tower Ending, he defeats Kronika and uses the power of time manipulation to force black people out of slavery and makes them rulers of the world because, according to Jax, he’s done waiting for “people to get woke”.

He doesn’t care about things like the Armenian genocide, the Dagestani massacres, the Libyan slave trade, the Rwanda tribal cleansing, the Red and White Terrors, or the various attempts to wipe out the Kurds, no he wanted to make sure that he and his people were kings.

As some people pointed out, it’s basically a recreation of Wakanda from Black Panther.

It’s almost like some ignorant, racist, regressive Liberal wrote that ending. But that’s to be expected since SJWs are the most racist people on the planet.

It definitely seems like NetherRealm took a very pro-military, pro-family, pro-ethics soldier like Jax, who was a by-the-books commander, and turned him into a bleeding heart symbol of regressive Liberalism. It doesn’t seem to fit in with the continuity or consistency for the way the character has been portrayed in his previous incarnations of Mortal Kombat either. NetherRealm decided to throw away his past characterization in order to preach their wokeness, further diminishing the integrity of the Mortal Kombat brand in favor of proselytizing to the masses.

Who would have figured that the most outrageous and boundary-pushing franchise from the 1990s would be gunning to be as politically correct and “woke” as possible in [current year]?

PSA for Codexers looking for GOOD fighting games.

3D: Tekken 7, Dead or Alive 6, Soul Calibur 6. All three are excellent.

2D: Blazblue Centralfiction, Blazblue Cross Tag, UNIST, Guilty Gear Xrd, Dragon Ball Fighter Z. There is also a new Samurai Showdown and King of Fighters coming.

If you are a dudebro who wants to mash buttons, there is obviously Mortal Kombat 11 and, to a lesser extent, Street Fighter 5.

And if you are an overweight neckbeard with bad hygiene, there's Smash Bros.

He was a waste as well honestly. They brought back what is arguably the best boss character in the series, only for him to get his ass kicked and then be killed by Kitana by having his throat slit by one of her fans in the most anticlimatic fashion. Skarlet, Noob Saibot, Revenant Jade and Kabal also only show up to be beating bags for the player and do nothing of note. Revenant Sindel (apparently there's dialogue between her and D'Vorah that was datamined, so i guess she's DLC) is also gone, same way Jade was gone in MKX. Frost also does nothing of note except apparently she runs the Cyber Lin Kuei and gets her ass kicked constantly.

And yup, they reset the timeline again. I heard somewhere that this might the last Mortal Kombat in a long while because NRS is getting tired of making fighting games. And that MK11 is gonna be supported for a long while, kind of like Street Fighter 5 and Killer Instinct were. I guess they want to leave everything open for any story they want to come up with by resetting the timeline.

There's some serious lolworthy shit here.

D'vorah apparently killed Kitana's daddio, which was originally a Shao Kahn accomplishment and was kind of a big deal for his whole character. NRS hasn't learned from Quan Chi taking nearly all of Shang Tsung's feats and instead shove accolades on to a character they want to push hard.

Shao Kahn is a jobber in story mode and gets killed by Azn Kitana. This is someone that ranks among the best final bosses in fighting games and he gets shit on like he's nobody. For most people he's the literal voice of MK.

Noob Saibot is woefully misused and appears like one time in the entirety of the story. You could have done so much interesting things with him as a character, you could have had even more fun with the timeline hijinks if you didn't have such a shitty base roster (seriously, you have Scorpion/Sub-Zero team up and miss out on having them take on Noob-Smoke) like having OG Sub-Zero see what he eventually becomes.

The only saving grace about Frost is she has one of the best fatalities in the series. Her involvement in the narrative amounts to nothing.

Erron Black is still a jobber. If this guy is the unofficial "3D era hitman" why not, like, show him kill off some of these shitty characters? He offscreen killed Kobra and Hsu Hao, it'd be cool if you saw him do something like that in story so you could feel he's actually capable of doing more than being a boot imprint for the good guys.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
Warner Brothers went on the warpath, manually blocking dozens (if not hundreds) of videos that spoiler and/or criticize MK11.

As a result the last two pages or so of this thread are full of dead YouTube links.

Don't deal with douchebag publishers.

Do you think the first thing they did in Jax's arcade ending was kill Noob Saibot for being a Chinese guy in blackface?

There're so many many inconsistencies, plot holes and bullshit it's not even funny...

- Past versions of each character are from old timeline (MK1-MKA) or from the past of current timeline? Raiden mentioned that they were captured by Kronika just after Kung Lao beat Shang Tsung and Quan Chi (MK9 event), yet Jax is in the Kolliseum - if it's still MK9 he should be crippled (armless), escaping with Sonya to Earthrealm... Neither of them never managed to reach Kahn's Arena in MK9. What's more, Jax explained Jacqui that Scorpion ripped Bi-Han's spine off - we don't know how exactly Sub-Zero died in original timeline but in MK9 Scorpion burnt him with Toasty Fatality and brought SZ's skull back into Shang Tsung throne room so....???

- MK2 Raiden, as a reaction for Sektor's name, points that he was a Grandmaster of Lin Kuei... actually he was the son of Grandmaster - does anyone in NRS remember plot of their own games?

- Kronika admitted that she's going to create timeline without Raiden, because alliance between Raiden and Liu Kang is serious danger for her, right? Then explain WHY she brought back both of them without even trying to bribe Liu Kang instead of teleporting just evil guys alone? Thanks to her, Raiden had Liu as component for Gogeta fusion which brought her demise, it's beyond retarded.

- Frost (in OG timeline ambitious warrior who lusts for power, now - annoying crybaby) accuses Raiden of ignoring her for years... but it's just MK2 Raiden teleported straight from MK2 events and in both timelines Frost appears years after MK4 events so both had no occacion to meet each other before, WTF?

NRS can't be bothered to keep their own stories straight.

In MKX you have a scene that supposedly occurs before the tournament in MK1(or was it mk2?) where D'Vorah shows up but yet she's never a major player in MK9 (for obvious reasons).

In MK9 (and X) Scorpion's creation is attributed to Quan Chi where as in the original timeline it was a vague concept of his own "demons" and rage allowing him to return as a ninja spectre. Oh, but now he's not a spectre anymore, he's just a revenant under the control of Quan Chi. I've always disliked the way they've bluntly inserted Quan Chi into the MK1-3 events.

But hearing the spoilers of MK11 doesn't surprise me. MK9 and X both had their fair share of things that were set up for them to have little to no payoff or just quickly abandoned. Remember Cyber Sub-Zero? It was a nice twist when it happens, but absolutely nothing comes from it.
