Why did he ask us if we met before, then?

I don't think we are so suspicious to warrant that kind of interrogation just by itself. Surely the thought that a high-schooler (?) has a mysterious power to tear buildings away from reality wouldn't be the first on your mind.

He might have realized we lied about our name, but why would he care? We aren't even the craziest person around.

I think we are supposed to recognize him and it is the fact that we don't that he finds strange.

I don't have airtight reasons, but I feel that we might remind him of something rather than he remembers it clearly...If it does make any sense.
Think it as strong deja Vu sense. You feel that you remember that guy, but you can't quite precisely remember where you had met.

Why go such round way to interrigate us, if he remembers us? Why not remind us of something spefic out of our past with him? Why make a such public stunt out of it? Why not to meet us before we all introduced ourself? Uehara had time to ask us to talk with other people.
Perhaps our huge nervousness simply triggered his interest and he simply wants to know more about us...To me he doesn't act like familiar person to other familiar person, but as cop to suspicious person.

Well, 'remembers' is probably too strong a word. I don't think we have a common past. He might have seen us somewhere, casually, and something does not add up, which probably bothers him and prompts his questions.

Even if he knows nothing important, it might still be more than we know about ourselves.

That's true.
He most likely has a clue about ourself, but I am more willingly to find food so our character enjoys fine things in life, before shits hits the fan...And full stomach makes wonders for brain work and mental health.

That's assuming there is food. The hospital lacks a lot of things, and our continued survival might not be the utmost priority of those who placed us here.

Besides, mental health is overrated. If we wanted to be an impregnable fortress of sanity and optimism, we should have gone with a Scooby Doo character.

There is such a thing as a legal drinking age in Japan. We might not make it. :negative:

That's assuming they even have booze in the spirit world.

C is the most logical choice for someone in-setting - why wouldn't you want to be part of the group that controls the food supply? Of course, we all know that something's going to be horribly wrong with the food, but our character doesn't.

(how old are we, anyway?)

The highschoolers think you're older than them, possibly around Tokigawa or Okuyama's age. They're third year university students, so you appear to be in your early twenties. But you could always be older/younger than you look... not that it matters right now, since you have less social skills than a 12 year old girl. :M

'Controls' the food supply? What, are we going to decide who gets the food and who doesn't? How is that going to work?

It's not like you get your personal fiefdom based on who gets to which part of the hospital first.

The group doesn't seem to be at "killing each other over supplies" stage yet so we should be okay
