We are probably going to win... But with a severe cost. *glances at the character sheet* Or perhaps not. It would be quite bad if Erd was forced into another time skip once again though.

Demon God Fist

You keep quiet, allowing the angel her dance. You are not one to invite unnecessary pain, and that does seem to be all that she offers you despite her beauty. With a quiet focus, mumbling the necessary words under your strained breath, you prepare your last trump card.

The spell activates. Your flesh tingles, transmuting into golden energy. Your wings stretch out behind you and before the angel can comprehend your transformation, you charge right into her, driving your fist into her stomach. For the first time, you land a good hit on your opponent, one that actually causes her expression to change in pain. She staggers a step back, a scorching hole in her belly that begins to heal rapidly.

“Aim for the head, boy!” shouts Barbatos.

You would have if it was a male angel, but hitting a pretty girl in the face is just uncalled for, really.

For some reason, the angel looks happier than ever; her grin so wide as to split her face in half, she leaps at you. Your senses, sharpened by the sheer necessity of moving at speed, finally manage to register her movement. This time you find yourself having enough leeway to dodge, and though the angel is still faster than you, still somehow faster than your lightning, you are no long hopelessly behind.

It also helps that none of her strikes are able to harm you. As her limbs cut through your lightning form, they accomplish nothing but to burn herself, though those wounds heal as soon as they are inflicted. A look of annoyance flickers across the angel’s exquisite features. She pulls back from the melee and draws breath. Then she shrieks, a burst of power radiating from her. The wave tears your form apart like paper, scattering your lightning into nothing more than sparks.

But you are not some elemental spirit bound by the restrictions of a summoning spell. With tremendous effort of will, you pull yourself together again and close the distance. Even if it does no permanent harm, reconstituting yourself drains even more mana and in this situation you can’t afford to spare getting hit by that attack once more.

The angel laughs as you close in, seemingly pleased that you survived.

“Hey, Barbatos. Weren’t you saying something about lending me power?” you complain, as your next dozen hits do nothing more than mildly singe the angel’s wings. As long as your lightning form is active you are roughly her equal, with neither of you able to seriously harm the other… but at the same time, you are operating under a strict time limit and as far as you can tell, she is not. Once you run out of mana you are well and truly in a pit of shit.

“Oh, oh, I did say that, did I not? Guhahahahahahaha! I must have forgot!”

“Get it together, you useless hand accessory!”

“Fine, fine. I’m lending a hand, so fight well! Just call upon my name and you’ll see what I can really do.”

“This better be worth it…” you grumble. “Come! Barbatos!”

Just as Barbatos’s name leaves your lips, a strange voice, similar in tone and sound to his but far more monotonous, recites equally strange lines in your head.

“Condition one; thou must desire this battle wholeheartedly. Condition failed.

Condition two; thou must face an opponent stronger than thee. Condition cleared.

Condition three; thou must engage in melee battle. Condition cleared.

Condition four; thou must be battling a divine enemy. Condition failed.

Condition five; thou must desire the strength of this Demon and call its name. Condition cleared.

Three out of five conditions have been cleared. The requirements for the partial unsealing of Class S Demonic Gauntlet Barbatos have been met.”

“What is this weird bullshit-“ You only manage to get that far before a surge of overwhelming energy explodes from your arms, forcing even the angel to retreat to the skies. Both of your fists and feet are now clad with black gauntlets and boots, though these seem to be made of your lightning rather than the usual metal that one would expect. The resulting effect is slightly disconcerting, as the black lightning flashes, entwining itself around your golden limbs.

At the same time, you feel the drain on your mana intensify ten-fold.

“Guhahahahaha! How do you like it? This is the true power of the Demon God Fist! I dare say you will match even gods and goddesses as you are now! Oh, but the expenditure on your magical energy is particularly great if you turned yourself into an elemental like you are now, so be careful.”

That warning might have come a little too late, but you are too far in to retreat now. The angel now sports a look of eager anticipation. She swoops down from above and claws at you, but now you are faster. With almost trivial ease, as the knowledge of Barbatos’s techniques flood your mind, you pivot to evade her attack and swing your fist around in a backhand that catches her in the ribs. There is a loud cracking noise as you make contact, followed by an explosion of black lightning that sends the angel crashing into the ground, hard enough to deform the land into a new crater. You swiftly follow up with a point-blank Quaking Demon Impact, slamming into the prone angel with both of your fists. The earth shakes but fails to split. In between the angel’s fingers your gauntlets flicker darkly. She has managed to catch your punch with her hands, somehow keeping hold of you despite your nigh-intangible form.

Her wings and halo now glowing a gentle pink light, the angel begins to fight back. She has gained the ability to hurt you now, but even so you are still stronger and faster. In fact, her movements are getting more and more sluggish… no, not that - strangely seductive, in the way her hips sway as she dances around your fists and her arms brush across yours.

And for some reason, this time you find yourself mirroring her bizarre grin, and you feel a tingle both in your chest and somewhat lower down… it is definitely not the tingle of electricity, but of a sensation almost forgotten.

Your libido is back.

“Hey, hey, keep focused now, boy. Finish her off quickly before you run out of energy,” warns Barbatos.

He’s right. You should end the fight while you still have the upper hand, and you do so with:

***

A. A full-powered black Lightning Spear, charged up to skewer the angel and defeat her for good.

B. A blast using your Demon Aura Finger to disrupt the angel’s physiology and stun her long enough for capture.

C. A kiss, giving into your libido. What you presume to be your angelic instincts are telling you that this is definitely the way to go, though you are not entirely sure of the wisdom of giving into your instincts here…

Heh, that relic has been automated. Or is it truly a relic? Perhaps it's something else rather than magic... Anyway, I would vote for B, but there's no way anything but C wins. However, chances are that Erd will accidentally come short and fail at whatever he tries to do, since one of the conditions of this CYOA is that Erd can seemingly get laid, so C will absolutely fail. It will still be a funny scene, though.

In before female angels kill the males after the act, mantis style.

Well... it was fortunate that Barbatos saved the day! Angel boners can't possibly work out well given our current state and precarious position, but as lightbane said it'd be funny regardless. Trider might even consider it worthwhile.

B for my vote, though. Got to cockblock the Codex, it's the only way.

Kipeci confirmed for Worst Person Ever, would not go drinking with again.
C, duh. We've been trying to fix Erdrick's dick since we found out it's broken. I don't care if this kills us or lands us in her rape dungeon.
It is the right choice. Search your feelings, Codex, you know this to be true.

It would be much more in character than listening to our glove, that's true. The organ gouging was something of a turn-off for me, though.

Maybe it'/ just because I'm impaired right now, but C looks much better now. In character to disregard our glove and focus on the long-inactive hyperweapon, and she keeps boosting in strength so we might not be able to take her down and keep it that way. We're tired.

Screw her before she screws us, Barbatos can watch and learn tactics

Angels aren't demons' divine enemies apparently.

B. Erd can study her to permanently fix his problems.

Come to think of it, that is kinda odd. What is divine, then? The manifestations of fate that gave over nonsense like the necklace at the start of the CYOA?

Let's learn how baby angels are made. Hopefully the mating ritual doesn't turn out the same way that a praying mantis' does. However, I do suspect that giving in to our primal natures will cause us to go crazy and black out for a time, at least. Likely a more minor version of what would have happened had we decided to stomp Rin in Chapter 1, but the morbid curiosity of our angelic nature is really getting the better of me here. Let's explore it.

Barbatos is most powerful and impressive, but a new hyperweapon has risen to humble the angelic foe! We would be fools not to make use of it.

Fallen

You give into your instincts, succumbing to the lust. How could you be expected to resist? Finally, after all this time, you are going to get your dick wet, and-

The pleasure wipes your mind. A little death becomes a big death, and your essence slips from your being, sucked away by a process you do not comprehend. Perhaps you should have tried to find out more about the mating habits of angels before engaging in such an act… but then again, how could you be expected to resist?

As the gratifying death continues in an endless plateau, with no end to the climax in sight, you begin to understand the why, if not the how: for the sake of the next brood, gestating within her. You feel nothing at this realization but acceptance, even pride.

Everything you are is taken, and at the end of it, fully satisfied, you die.

At least, the angel that you are dies, leaving behind the human that you were. Which is to say, a broken, shattered half-shell of a person, close to dying for the second, no, third time? You cannot tell, and the angel is no longer around. All that is left is the wind screaming in your ears, as you lie naked, on the verge of expiring in the wasteland that you created.

***

“Well, so how are we feeling today?” asks Zayan,

You just nod, bubbles floating from the corners of your lips.

It has been a little over a year since Zayan managed to retrieve you. The destruction of Yuiria and your subsequent battle with the angel could be felt as far as Grahferde, and fearing the worst she had made hasty preparations to bail you out with a squad of golems. You are quite thankful to her for that – the golems had brought along with them a regeneration pod, saving your life.

Your wounds are severe but nothing that the pod cannot heal with time. In the aftermath of your… dalliance with the female angel, it seems that you have somehow been turned back into a human. You do not know why or how, but you do know that you are still not entirely as you were. Not fully human, no. The Demon Lord’s heart is still part of you. What that means for you is something you are unsure about. Perhaps it would be wise to start researching your body. Zayan might have some ideas about that.

The world has kept on turning during your convalescence, but it has left Grahferde alone for the most part. Turning the Methussian capital into a twisted, blasted desert had sent a message, but not in the way you expected. The angel’s flight – to the north, as the reports went – had been witnessed by many. It was no surprise that she then became the scapegoat for your actions.

Well, considering the trouble you went through, you are perfectly happy to let the dice fall that way.

The human kingdoms had been more in a panic about the angel’s reemergence and her alleged destruction of Yuiria than they were about your control over territory of a now dead kingdom. If you had really had your way, you would have wanted to parade yourself as the savior that captured the dastardly angel which massacred a city, but it is too late for that now.

“By the way,” continues Zayan, “the Byarlant Empire has fallen, and some very interesting stories are coming from the survivors.”

Survivors? It is true that the fall of an empire was fraught with casualties and refugees, but the way Zayan said it… Wait, for that matter, the Byarlant Empire was considered the superpower of this world. How would it even fall within the span of a year? But the angel that you encountered did head north, and if that was the case, then…

“A swarm of grotesque, gigantic winged infants, they said.” Zayan peers at you over her half-moon glasses, an interested smile on her lips. “They’re saying it’s the end of the world. Even the monster kingdoms are on guard against this threat. Do you have any idea what that’s all about? These flying babies destroying the most powerful human empire on the continent?”
