I really don't want to leave Cao'er to wander about searching us for all eternity.
That's her fate in B. She doesn't have to do this if you do not suddenly vanish on her. Again. *sigh*

I know, that's why I proposed my own C variation.
yoloing with D sounds really tempting now, because we might have small chance live, so we could suffer more from Nuwas hands.

You know that she is not discriminating between which people she can screw over to make you suffer?

I mean, how many thousands have already died just to make you repent?

Do you want to add our companions to that list? I'd rather she killed us instead.

Just saying, spiting a Goddess should never be a long-term plan. It is acceptable here mostly because it is going to be the end either way.

Repent for what? Repent for not being Nuwa's slave in the first place? This woman is completely unreasonable. I'm still holding out hope that D can give us a chance to pick up the old A, but even without that, I still wouldn't accept Nuwa's form of tyranny.

Besides, I'm pretty sure the "no direct intervention" rule would protect them. I'm not sure Nuwa would consider them to be worth going out of her way to punish when it's Chi You she's after anyway.

You guys need to be more optimistic. :rpgcodex:

All things considered, this epilogue isn't much of a downer ending. It was originally planned to be the capstone to the aftermath of a catastrophic Huashan Summit where, if you fuck up, Qilin, Yifang, Yao & Miecao, the Huashan Twins, Xuezi, Lingshu, Zhang Jue, the Sword Saint, Qi Liuwu, Xuxian and Guo Fu would die update-by-update, numbing you to the death toll, then when you arrive at the capital in the epilogue this happens and in an unsteady mental state Jing is forced to fight Shun to the death thanks to Heaven's games.

I am not really familiar what gods and godnesses are allowed to do against normal mortals like our harem without breaking rules, so our harem will have a chance.
Yes, Nuwa will plot and scheme like she has before and would have continued if we hadn't prayed, but would she break rules of heavens just because we pissed her off greatly?

I do agree that we will suffer, if we piss her off now, but we don't know how if our harem suffers more than usual things that get in our way....Wel we could become impotent, so that would suck...

You... you are not kidding, are you?

Just how badly did we need to fuck up for that to happen?

Also, why is our dearest BJ not on the list?

For Qilin to die, not badly. More than one update with obscure choices leading to her death. To wipe them all out would have been a bit harder, but I reckon the death toll would have been considerable regardless. You'd likely have seen at least the death of one companion every two updates or so.

This was thought of but rejected:

Yunzi would survive Huashan but end up gravely injured, Cao'er would have been spending the time tending to her, and then during the fight Evil!Shun, the Emperor of Grimderp, tells you he's sent his troops to hunt the two girls down and kill them. The ending would leave it open as to whether or not Yunzi and/or Cao'er survived.

Holy cow, it could have really been pretty dark ending.
This Nuwa ending suddenly seems lot brighter.

I wanted to abuse hammer in that LUCK 1 LIFE GIVES YOU HOPE THEN TAKES IT ALL AWAY IN A SINGLE MOMENT near the end for more desperation so that people would vote to PRAY, but I guess I didn't actually need to go so far after all. :M

Hey treave, if we go with D, is it possible for Nuwa to be unable to kill us atm? Our destiny is to go to war with heaven, yes? Is it possible then that Nuwa would be unable to kill us yet, similar to how the Fengshen Bang tells that she was unable to kill King Zhou of Shang?

I think it's the third time I've said this, but there is zero chance of dying because you chose to pray in the last option. :M+M:M

Wouldn't assume anything about your destiny though.

Okay, that is scary.

Excuse me while I sit in the corner hugging my knees. :negative:

We will realize our childhood dream and become a tsundrabbit!

Cao'er will still accept us, right?

Dear diary,

Today I've learned that you should probably decide if you want to play *before* initiating Sphere Diplomacy.

Again.

My only real regret here is that we went out with a whimper. I don't think we even surpassed Character Creation in the amount of pages. There weren't any dramatic deadlocks even.
Meh.

My regret is that we prayed. If we would have kiled Shun we could have gone with the War on Heaven choice and all would have been perfect.

Never will I pray again. No gods, no masters.
