Also what happened to my favorite character, Gao Ying? I was hoping for some more cool moments with him. One of the most underdeveloped characters in my opinion.

He was actually going to appear and attack Shun in the previous update, saving your ass and distracting him from possible victory, but I couldn't work the scene in without disrupting the flow even further and having a third party involved in the duel felt a bit off at the time. He did say that he served Shun because he thought Shun was the best bet to bring order to the chaos and a worthy ruler. After the Yang Xue incident, he wasn't so sure anymore: he faked his own death and began doing some further investigating of his own. He's already grown suspicious of Shun's behaviour since the Sword Conference, if you notice. You would also have bumped into him before the Huashan Summit if you didn't go ahead and get yourself knocked out by Yang Xue, giving you some more hints and options in preparation.

Shun already knows that Tang will fall no matter what, but he actually will have chance to live life of adventure like he wanted.
I guess that Ascension plot mrk 2 is to lessen the chaos when people notice that empire is gone, because HEAVENZ.

I would actually be down with a toned-down version of The Brazilian Slaughter's plan, except we skip the theatrics: Shun abdicates immediately, the Celestials assist with the peaceful ascenton of the next dynasty and we will go with our bros (Shun, Yu, Gao Ying, etc) on a final adventure around the Old World. At the end of which, we are hers to do with as she pleases.
Don't know if that would be wise to offer her after making her wait for so long already.

It is obvious that she wants us and she wants us now, so one last adventure with our friends is out of the question. So I suppose we could ask for some small favors, like helping Shun put his dynasty to rest peacefully, or trolling Manxing one last time. But all of that is irrelevant, unless we have something great cooked up for C, then we ought to just vote for something else.

On brazillian slaughters plan and c in general:

Firstly, suggesting an ascension of shun will piss her the fuck off. They hate the fake ace soon we pulled before.
Secondly, she has been pretty clear she wants shun's whole bloodline destroyed and is only willing to hold off on it if she gets something in return.
