Question: I notice that some people are good at item modification. What exactly does that mean? Can we modify the weapons to make them stronger/more durable?
I'm not entirely sure of the mechanics behind it as I've never purposefully modified items before, but it lets you modify an item (Perhaps at random? When I mess with that option I don't see a way to select an item) in a particular way. The choices are "Any, close combat, assault, sniping, barricading, engineering, spotting, searching, demolition, and cooking". I assume it can apply bonuses to an item that can already be used in that situation (No +cooking on pistols) to make it better at it. In one of my test games before starting the LP I had someone tinker (Which is an idle and automated version of modifying) +close combat to a pistol.
But as mentioned since the game obfuscates the actual mechanics of stuff I have no idea if the benefits for that are good or not.
Alright, did a die roll to see if Banana or Ashery's orders won, and Ashery won the toss. Banana and Lightbane on trap duty, Laclo on cooking, Alicia on barricades and Ashery alternating barricade and watch.
By 1:00PM the building is as trapped as it can be, Laclongquan hasn't made a single meal yet, and no additional barricades have gone up. Since the plan seemed to be fortify this house until tomorrow, I'll keep everyone working here. Lightbane start to help Laclongquan cook, and Banana takes over watch duty as Ashery goes full time on the barricades with Alicia.
Either the move from "Secured" to "Fortified" involves something different than the barricade command, or all our barricading efforts have been repairing the damage the zombies have done. We've got a considerable mob outside the building apparently and the sun's setting.
What do we do? We could try to clear the zombies outside the house with a direct assault, or we could try to create a distraction and (Hopefully) lure them away. If we go for a distraction keep in mind I'm not entirely sure how that order works. I'm not sure if you do it at the area the zombies are clustered to confuse and lure them away, or if you have to move to a different building to make the distraction and lure them over there.
If we DO do a distraction, there are also multiple ways of handling it. Making a ruckus, playing music (The stereo I guess) or making a bonfire. I believe supposedly bonfire is most effective, but again I'm not sure.
Up to you Codex! Would've gone a bit longer with this update but with a large mob outside I thought it was time to ask the Codex!
