our squad, those stats bring a single tear to my eye, they are all gonna die one by one

i evacuate the snipers because inside the ship they are just targets

and hilariously, a ballistic pistol is not pointless!
we work the second one

big scary open spaces, aliens have longer vision range, horrible
i wish we could go more upstairs here

some turns later, the peeking almost goes bad, when the raptor reaction fires into the smoke

when no one moves inside anymore, grimwulf gets closer
romanov the rockket guy picks up the shotgun from the fallen potato
and we assault slowly

we send it to hell, all the bases have to be able to take bigger ufos

10th mission, anniversary!
wtf? dejavu? that looks like the same map from one of the first missions, only our ship is rotated...

first usage of the rokkit launcher, crossing fingers
i forgot the old quake rules, shoot the floor! rocket went through the window xD cant make this shit up
pulling the snipers out
while the second scout spots real trouble
we have enough tu to save us
next turn we clean up
several turns later with no activity we push the squad to wehre the ufo was last time
here, wtf, i thought the maps are random to a degree, this one is exactly like one of the first
meanwhile the second scout was doing his job on the right
he has to hide though, if only he had a plasma pistol
fook, the alien runs to us
so we hide
and drag our rocketeer to help
note that grimwulf the second is dead, wtf?, he was watching through the window and i didnt see shit move
yet he was shot from the open door there... i dont get it, do i need to be standing to see throguh windows?
anyway, we try to bomb the place
and we hit the rocks but the next turn the raptor is helpful and walks out to play
tough mofo, took an RPG to the face
several sniper shots later he'll die
while we do our usual shenanigans
we again fuck up with TU math so door is open and smoking is needed
get lucky
and finish

and nuke nr9, so our anniversary was a fake

i so wanted to try the splosives
but i figure its too risky
damn the ufo is choke full
now that i am commentin on this, i become aware how aggressive and careless i played this mission, should have just camped for 20 turns to kill the moving aliens
its funny too, i though warehouse rockets would be danger danger but not here, noooe
FUUUUCK! it seems jesus saves you only for show, death still has your number
of course now the door is fucked too and we have all our squad squatting around, free to shoot
and the NEXT surprise appears and i actually spot him by some miracle, maybe he shot at us and i just didtn screencap it
and none can shoot him decently
we smoke and pray, and holy ghost delivers, he walks into our shooty line
bombs away!

and we again fail to kill and have to s.a.p. which is successful
MG fire fails to kill again but we grenade the fucker too
and profit!
with teh coast clear, we return to our usual programming, shooting from far away
but today with some spices!
gotta check if explosives hurt our profits in the mission
i this point i dont care though, but i also black out and romanov is standing around with not enough TU to run
he is extremely lucky to surivive!

romanov wanted to grab the shotgun from the fallen assault, only to find mush
AI just broke out of its script and went outside, unpredictable, i feel that this is a cheat, the AI knows our exact position
so the rng jesus saves us yet again! with a nifty miss
die alien scum!
romanov is our unarmed scout :D
and after some long range sniper work
another one bites the dust
but we find ANOTHER ONE
and i forget romanov at the door, this mission is a gigantic fuckup by yours truly...
and grenade and some MG fire puts it to an end
rip romanov, narcolepsy got you
rip serrano, rpg in the ass, even jesus could not save you

our squad is getting very thin, last mission was only 7 guys out of 8 already
third foxtrot is done and sent away
and some relief arrives
our funding is still horrible though
heavy lasors are researched
we go for alenium
i wish i had the money for laser wepaons...
this lets play is looking bleak, a full squad needs 8 guns, shorter list would be:
2 shotguns, 3 snipers, 1 mg = about 350k, thats 7 downed scout missions without losses...
here come 2 of them
this one is far to close to home...
