I suppose if you have a domain power that can be used multiple times a day and you want to use regularly, you need Charisma. Am I wrong? Or all abilities from domains that can be activated several times per day suck?

There's some overpowered ones, like celerity (haste) or the tentacled horror summon, overpowered for chapters 1/2 but I guess with the new content, you won't need it anymore.
Celerity is still good and there's so many domains you can find other useful activable powers.

In this game Charisma for a Cleric is only used to give additional turning undead uses, right? That includes uses of domain powers. However turning undead seems underwhelming to me. The question is, if i use domains that give only passive bonuses(boni) do i need charisma for anything other than turning undead which is meh?

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Since wisdom increases the power of some spells and gives you more spell slots if you raise it high enough, I find it way more useful than charisma, as it buffs your core spellcasting abilities.

A stat that buffs ALL your spells is better than a stat that only buffs your one or two domain powers.

Martials need the stat points to keep up in relevancy with the casters past level 9. People complaining about difficulty are letting their autism force them to take 4 levels to get stat point and 3 for feat cause thats 3. whatever DND! Well this module and pierres homebrew are not designed with that in mind.

Celerity doesn't depend on your Charisma anyway.
But it is an activated power of a domain -> requires a turning undead use (right?) -> the number of the those is modified by Charisma. However Celerity can only be used once per day so it doesn't matter much.

What's your point? This what i wrote. Bonuses. As alternative i gave boni which is also correct. The Latin word bonus in plural is boni afaik. It is sometimes used as the plural form. Rarely these days as Latin is no more a lingua franca.
Noun[edit]
bonus (plural bonuses or bonusses or boni) ("boni" is nonstandard)

  1. Something extra that is good; an added benefit.
  2. An extra sum given as a premium, e.g. to an employee or to a shareholder. video games) An addition to the player's score based on performance, e.g. for time remaining. basketball) One or more free throws awarded to a team when the opposing team has accumulated enough fouls.

I think you wrongly assume that charisma is competing with wisdom in this case. It doesn't. It is the question, do i add more to str/dex/con or charisma, wisdom is maxed either way. Not that it matters. It is as i thought, I will lower charisma on cleric - next time, if there will be one.

No, it's only one use per day for Celerity and I don't think it depletes the TU pool.

It's good to give more CON to a Cleric since he's the healer, sure, there's scrolls usable by hybrids and druids or the psionicist can resurrect but still, a bit of charisma with the leftovers but if you want to melee a bit WIS > CON and STR > not much left for CHA, except if you're willing to go with very low DEX and INT.

But it was, difficulty modes were only added later and only because many players advised Pierre to do so in order to brace for impact with all the steamtards.
They were going to find it impossible and without difficulty modes, they would have rated it below 50%

Gotta love how he gives you a blindfold to protect you from being petrified by gaze spells. Then you fight gorgons that petrify you with their breath. He really thought of every possible way to screw you!

It's no rocket science, everyone minmax since cRPG were born.

Minmaxing is just the natural consequence of RPGs being fundamentally games. Nothing wrong with it unless you're some greasy tryhard in tabletop.

Be magnanimous, play a fighter.

Also:

Since the correct noun form in Latin is "bonum", the plural in Latin would be "bona".

Stop using this fucking retarded word. Or continue using it as you wish but don't act like it's a real word

Yes it was later, and yes people advised him. But not (only) because of "steamtards". I was here and was reading this thread back then. Some advised him to make lower difficulties because they thought that the difficulty, while in a masochistic way very fun, is not well designed.

You seem to believe that the game was done at some point and everything the author himself adds later is somehow not a part of "legit" design. Very weird. Indie games, are often modified long after they've been put on shelves. The game now is what you can buy on Steam, GoG or author's web page. What you think, is the game, has only historical relevance now. It shows how the game was developed and from where it got to the point it is now. That's all.

Difficulty levels, if well designed, are good but people tend to play the hardest and then b*** how the game is badly designed. Clearly the highest difficulty is not meant for everyone from the start.

BTW, difficulty for "steamtards" is called easy.

Ohhh WIKTIONARY said boni, my bad I never knew such an esteemed website had ok'd this retarded made-up word
All words we use are "made up" but if You claim that I "made it up" personally then no. Boni as plural of bonus certainly WAS in use for some time in several languages including English. Even if it doesn't make sense, which i may agree.

Also:

Since the correct noun form in Latin is "bonum", the plural in Latin would be "bona".

Stop using this fucking retarded word. Or continue using it as you wish but don't act like it's a real word
Again, all words are "real" if there are, or were, used by a large enough group of people. You probably meant: "not correct" or "not recognised by dictionaries" or "not logical or making sense".

Correct form of what? Of the noun bonum plural will be bona - yes. But you also have the word bonus/bona/bonum. Plural form of the latin word bonus is in nominativus boni. The bonum -> bona makes more sense semantically, I agree. Otoh bonus -> boni uses a word that is written the same in both languages even if the meaning doesn't really match. And NO, in a way it doesn't make sense at all. If that's what you meant then we can agree. But that's language for you. Any language except maybe artificial ones. But the word is real and was in use at some time.

Edit: Deleted a phrase where i was a dick. The dick itself stays where it was for the past ~40 years.

Just because an enemy is a huge boss with a bunch of allies, doesn't mean you can't dominate him and get his help wasting his own crew :smug:

So how strong/weak are the various hybrid classes? Is it worth it to take a mage knight/storm warrior or whatever else that is equivalent to those two over a fighter or full-spellcaster?

Steam achievement manager? Wtf? Imagine being so worthless that you think cheating this thing makes you look good.
Achievements were a genius invention. Most people don't care about them at all but like .1% of the population goes absolutely apeshit for them and will purchase a game just to get the little trophy.

Is there some secret to crafting? I even played the tutorial and all that it shows is the button exists in your inventory menu. I've tried dropping ingots on it, click it first then clicking ingots, etc. It says you have to be trading with a wizard, cleric, druid, etc. which sounds very odd to me.

Does that mean you can only invoke crafting with very specific NPCs you trade with? I've tried crafting at NPCs with no luck too. Explain to me like I'm 5 (ELI5)

You can craft with some traders and not with others, just remember names.

You can craft when "trading" with them.

Any way to re-arrange party names in list in above-right corner?
