People need to understand why boycotting this matters and why comparing this with older games does not work (in other topic they are comparing it with Mass Effect 3).

Similar to how Bioware did romance checks, you must a) Initiate the dialog and b) pass around 5 dialog choice romance checks without missing one in order to unlock this romantic partner. You have to go out of your way to do this and do it over the course of half the game.

The dialog options for the male romance are treated very secretive, VERY taboo and in line with the historical times.- The romance scene is extremely brief, and entirely skippable. 5 seconds of kissing total and 5 seconds of them on the bed naked: “No one is hanging dong and they are just on top of each other kissing. The other cutscenes with Henry and women are much more vulgar haha.”

There are no other examples of LGBTQ in the game

Even though I think this is a bit silly, I'm a lot more sympathetic to it because I had the same reaction to all the fucking katanas that started invading D&D in the 90s and on. I followed the original game during the Kickstarter and I'm currently doing my first proper playthrough of it finally, was looking forward to the second until this trainwreck happened as well. Was going to buy it sometime later this year, but I very much doubt that now. I don't even get excited for games anymore, I guess this reteached that lesson. Lastly it has even soured my experience/thoughts with the first game too, maybe time will heel that though. Also the writing was on the wall in certain aspects leading up to KCD2, we should have known better.

I've seen quite a few people on here and twitter annoyed about Henry's retroactive bisexuality, and I think the best way to keep everyone happy is to patch some gay sex scenes for him into KCD1 prior to the release of the sequel to ensure that his characterization is consistent. Hopefully Warhorse are on top of this and have it ready to roll out so as not to disappoint long time fans.

The gay cutscene is extremely hidden in the game behind numerous choices. It also lasts only a few seconds and there is no sex, only kissing. The straight scenes last much longer and are more detailed. This was obviously included at the last minute by demands from their owner but Vavra is trying to play tough guy and pretend its his idea.
