Will Josh transition before announcing his next game?

Seriously: it depends on how much of a broken man he is after the failure of Pillows 2. If he's taken his lumps and is confident in his work going forward, he probably won't, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if that failure hurt him badly psychologically, and he came out.

Because going trans, or pretending to go trans, is now one of the very few ways the system allows a White male to bask in social approval and get social upcummies.

He changed his mind about Deadfire after it eventually became profitable through its long tail. Now he's convinced it only underperformed because of bad marketing. Feargus's fault for burning bridges with Paradox, leaving them with Versus Evil (a who? publisher).

Performed poorly because it was a shit setting that was almost good. People don't want to be lectured on dumb colonizer bullshit, barely leaned into the pirate aspect at all, etc.,

If it went full pirate it would have sold even without marketing. Libtards can't help but try to ruin everything good.

People just want to be a pirate and kill dragons, it's not fucking rocket science.

:hmmm:

These are things you have to buy the game to find out about.

(also so far I don't really feel lectured to at all)
