Infinitrons abuse of mod powers is extremely annoying and needs to stop

I'm talking about practice of thread splitting here. Happened twice recently to my knowledge, first with Avowed art director drama, now with KCD2 wokification drama.

From user point of view it looks like this: I'm reading about art director drama in main Avowed topic and suddenly people stop talking about it and topic ends. Fine I guess. Then I come back later and find out that topic got split and now another multi pages topic exists solely about that drama. Then I have to scroll through multiple pages until I find a point I ended reading in main topic. It's a colossal waste of time. Why there was no notification that split happened in main topic?

Now same happened with KCD2 but worse. Infinitron split wokification drama from main topic, named it with dramatic inflammatory title and attempted to bury it in gaming discussion section of the forums. I'm aware that topic is back in general rpg discussion, but still.

Most importantly, there is literally no reason for any of that splits, both games are not even released yet and there is little else to talk about anyway. Infinitron is clearly abusing his mod powers to meddle with topics. It's incredibly scummy. low cunning behavior and basically attempt of shadow banning a topics that dude doesn't like.

And yeah, it made me mad enough to create my first topic here, on fucking site feedback of all things. Enough is enough, this vile behavior needs to stop.

Yeah, it gets frustrating browsing threads about some games, with posts randomly disappearing when threads get split so you have to look for it, users suddenly not being able to participate and continue discussion because they don't have access to a new subforum that it was split to, and even some getting banned because simply Infinitron doesn't like them.

This was annoying the first time, it's frustrating for tenth time or whichever. Seriously, Infinitron seems like a cool and knowledgeable guy to discuss with but every power he gets he abuses. Thread splitting, subforum creation and limits, changing news post dates so Obsidian is on top, banning people for rather timid transgressions...

I don't even mind having 2 KCD2 threads that much, but why are not both in CRPG anyway? Why limit user access? You think that will make developers come to 'dex? Vavra is going to register any day now?

If I want pathfinder build advice, I can go on rpgwatch and there's nothing unique about it - it's a sterile place as fun as a vasectomy.

If people are discussing gaming drama and someone googles it, wants to join to discuss the drama, here's what'll happen: they'll vent, and then they'll discuss the actual game once it comes out. The subject of discussion changes in waves. This concern is invalid.

It's gotten to the point where reddit will discuss the drama more than the dex, because it's snuffed out here. You amputate it, place it god knows where. I don't expect to change your mind, but at least, leave a link in the thread when you split.

This is an incredibly loosely moderated forum. You have to rant like a lunatic for months and finally threaten another user just to get temporarily banned. You are not being oppressed here.

I am however open to moving the Gaming Drama subforum to a more prominent position in the forum index (as I suggested back in 2018), as long as it remains closed to new users.
