Demo available during Nextfest.

just play the demo. Its a solid game. I soft lock myself by setting up 2 squads of archers that cannot do anything against enemy camp.

The choice of pillage after won battle is funny: do you want soft, normal or brutally pillage enemy village?
TF is that? "ok guys, rape this chicks just a little. I need next village to be less resistant to our invade" :-D

A Starcraft inspired RTS with retro-futuristic aesthetics and heavy focus on single player.

Majesty in space. Tutorial and UI are a bit unintuitive.

Tried out the demo - I am not impressed tbh fam. The game has way too simplistic controls (there is no attack ground for artillery units for example), the tactics are all about scout units (the vision range of units is very limited, so who ever gets scouts to see the enemy wins, if you dont your own vehicles just explode as the unseen enemy snipes them. The game is set in WW2 but there isnt really much historical about it as you can spam Tiger IIs and infantry with StG44 as much as you like.

Unless there are some major improvements, I dont see myself getting this.

Ugh, a russian knockoff Master of Magic.

There's a demo I'm going to try soon.

this is quite good.

Only problem is Caster of Magic is much better. Moreover there is Warlock mod to CoM, that shift the focus a bit more to the units.
Luna has buildings, but i think CoM structures are better thought out.
I like in Luna that the structures are placed on a strategic map, so you see how your city expand.
Similar book system for your leader.
I like that some spells could be cast minor (last 1 turn) or major (permanent) version

why devs cannot spend 1 saturday on learning how to pick up colors so the game doesnt hurt his audience eyes?
and loli? have some self respect.
dont see how this could be better than dominion

i play this demo some times ago. It have good Medieval TW 1 vibe, just Medieval TW1 was much better (or its my nostalgia).
Never played Total War: Medieval 1 so it's hard to tell for me. Thought some people might be interested in this one here.

While clearly inspired by Dominons i don't think surpassing it was ever the aim.
They advertise on their store page that each game session is 1 hour long.

its hard to find video without commentary, but this one capture the atmosphere very good. The sound and music is godlike even now.
This game has a soul.

its also imba to the max. Build farms in all provinces for money and spam spearman to conquer everything.
"but other units..."
quantity is a quality on its own

then you can molest End Turn for 100x times to watch your fancy building being created.

Now for something that looks a bit more interesting and doesn't hurt audience eyes.

And something that is, arguably, not going to hurt audience eyes.

Liked the demo.

Launched today, maybe it's a simpler Dominions, maybe it's a bad HoMM.

It's the latter. I played the demo a while ago and wasn't it basically an autobattler+ ?

Tried the demo.

RTS with some slight Warcraft 3 inspirations where you're clearing out creep camps and gather crafting junk during the day and defend your base from the undead during the night.

Hero abilities and level-up perks are... boring. [+5% attack damage], [+10% gathering speed] and spells like [crappy single target fireball that deals a slight DoT after hit] - this type of stuff. AoE healing field is useful at least.
Could have sworn that heroes from original W3 had more interesting abilities. It also made me remember Rising Kingdoms and how cool were the heroes in that one for some reason.

Understimated the amount of wood this game will demand from you to spend. I had two lamberjack camps and i was constantly running out of it.
The amount of pure crafting junk you will be gathering is... maybe a bit excessive for this kind of game, i think. Gear you can both find and craft are probably even more boring than my spells.

There is only one building that produces units but everything that is more advanced than a spearmen demands crafting resources.
Couldn't even afford spearmen because they're expensive in terms of wood so my army consisted of only archers who require crafting a bow that cost less wood. Didn't save me from the wood shortages before my base got overrun tho.

Still, there is something about this game's concept that i found weirdly compelling. Could have sworn i played a similar Warcraft 3 or Starcraft 2 mod map before.
Never played They Are Billions or any of it's derivatives so perhaps i should try some more of them.
