So how long before Paradox mess this yet another atempt to use World of Darkness license meaningfully?
HBS is competent, unlike Hardsuit, and not conmen, like Feargus, so it'll be their best attempt yet.

I just hope they go back to making normal RPGs. I thought I'd like Battletech but I can't find myself going back to it.

Shadowrun was not bad at all, Battletech should have been a slamdunk but they went all in on SJW cancer which killed their companions, dialogue and of course the bland girl power plotline. There were enough roguelite elements in that game too. HBS is dead to me and may only be resurrected if Gitelman and Wiesman do a public press appearance shooting rifles into the air with hookers and coke.

They understand strategy games more and they have easier replyability than Bloodlnes 2 or Tyranny ever could

There is nothing more decline than procedural generation, this studio has definitely stopped being an RPG developer sadly.

But too much sjws.

Exactly this... you can be as competent as you want but woke fuckery will eventually destroy you because it is entropic by nature. It seeks to erase not create. It is axiomatically destructive because when everything has to be reductionist for fear of offense the ability to create art dries up. See: Nearly every Netflix (and hollywood in general really) production of the last few years.

people who play strategy games have autism and people with autism get autismbux with nothing to spend it on besides crappy DLC for mediocre games
paradox is the worst kind of predatory company, their owners should be kicked out of society

So you want them to do a liberal press conference....ahhh that is weird. It will be better if they do a crusader recruitment program.

That said, their sjw shit was ok in shadowrun games. Tho dragonfall was annoying with all the muh racism and fate bad shit. The only likeable companion was the ork girl.

There. Fixed.

Yes, "RPG games" is there on purpose.

Battletech should have been a slamdunk but they went all in on SJW cancer which killed their companions, dialogue and of course the bland girl power plotline. There were enough roguelite elements in that game too.
Battletech would've been better off being an actual strategy game (with strategy layer on top of tactical layer). This would allow for having mutliple armies, different compositions (including non-mechs), etc.

Fabulously optimistic thinking Microsoft would license out an RPG they own to compete with the three RPG developers they also own.

Well fwiw from the job posting.

Harebrained Schemes is looking for a Senior Producer to join the production team midway through development of a new turn-based strategy game.

Nice to Haves
  • Familiarity with Shadowrun and BATTLETECH

I think it would be possible they have licensed rights to make multiple games to begin with, so it's a possibility. On the other hand Paradox probably would like them to work on own IPs (new or Paradox's own), so who knows, maybe one is Battletech 2 (to make use of license and the code base for the first game) and the other is a WoD game.
