do I have to dismiss her in order to talk to her again about her sister/resolve that quest when the time comes?

Nope, she delivers the quest completed dialogue once you find the bones if she's in your party and you get the XP reward. She also decides to keep adventuring with your party.

The wall next to it says "No Magical Image Silk, Please", so that's probably the answer... I thought about the spiders or the tapestry guy at the bazar, but haven't bothered to go back yet.

Also, reposting this here. This is a good overview of the best race & class combinations based on the bonus points multipliers you get. Also, which combinations get less points actually:

Bonus points:
Give you a multiplier to your skill points on levelup
On creation it multiplies the unused portion of your roll
(ex, you roll a 32 as a aeorb sage, you subtract 5 needed for sage req, 27x2.0=54 which you can then appy to attributes, hp, etc)

Males & Females have slightly varied starting attributes.
Nobody can start Jester, Pirate, Assassin

If you show the Deep One totem to the guy you stole Blacky's Diary, he tells you the same content as what you find inside the diary. Asking for Diving Bell from that Admiral you make him gives it and the map for you...
