Good gaming channels on Youtube?

Could it be that the announcement for new Deus Ex is upon us and that Square hired a bunch of youtubers to do videos on DE in order to build hype? "Deus Ex 4" was one of entries in the GeForce leak. One can dream...

Painted finger nails. Is he going tranny?
He's supposed to be goth... Now whether he identifies like that irl or it's just the role he plays for his channel, all of his stylings are typical for that subculture.

I doubt Square would hire people making vids longer than the 3-7 minute 2022 human attention span. But is the next DE game really that close? This seems like such a strange time for an announcement.

This is actually a decent video for once - and i especially agree with the bit that in Hexen 2, unlike regular FPSs, the enemies aren't the main goal but they're secondary to the main part that is "solving the map". This is why i really like Hexen 2.

(not that it has bad enemies or anything - though some are a bit spongy - if anything fighting them feels great among others due to the sound effects as he mentioned)

Did you miss the whole "GOTH GAMER NATION" bit? :-P Grim Beard has embraced the whole late 90s/early 2000s edgy goth style.

Yeah, I get he is goth, or some kind of metal-head, but they usually paint black no?

I usually find slightly mentally ill or weird people more interesting. Rob Ager/Collative Learning is one of my favorite YouTubers despite the fact that he obviously reads way too much into hidden meanings in films and sounds a bit psychotic at times.

I recommend RetrospectiveGaming .
He is a milennial who is trying to get into older RPGs. Sometimes he does not know what he is doing, but he never allows this to discourage him. His reviews are pretty fascinating to me as he brings a totally different perspective compared to someone who grew up with these games.
I also recommend his discussion (with another, older YouTuber) about Gateway of the Savage Frontier (and Gold Box games in general).

Retrospective is pretty nice. He's not overly well produced in the content but it gives it a cozy feeling of authenticity to the core. I haven't watched his stuff in over a year though because last I checked he had to take a break and I forgot to check back. He also seems like a nice dude form the few interactions I've had with him on forums/discords.

I don't know if this counts, but I like these Podcasts. Resonant Arc is, you could say, mainly a JRPG-Channel, but they started a Mass Effect Podcast-series last week. They call their Podcast "a bookclub for games" and are great to listen to in the background, even though they also show some relevant clips from time to time. So far they talked about FF 8, Nier Replicant, Xenogears and now Mass Effect. As far as I know, they also work fulltime and produce youtube-content as a hobby.

Hello bros, just uploaded my Myth video. From now on I'll be poasting my vids in Grauken's official shill thread here: https://rpgcodex.net/forums/threads/ed123s-retro-reviews.140783/

Good riddance.

Hey, I like Ed123's videos. I was particularly interested in Deathtrap Dungeon since I could only suffer through the first few levels of its instant-death traps and wonky controls, but the levels themselves had some unique designs and varied themes.

Tweed is scum who keeps putting off his Betrayal at Krondor retrospective so I'll get annoyed and make it for him. SCUM.

To be fair, I like Tweed's videos as well for the somewhat unusual coverage-spread. They're not overly long, though, so they don't fill that second-screen use case when I'm doing something relatively mindless on the main one.
