Just saw Todd Howard on Spike TV talking about Skyrim...The game looks totally epic. He even said epic about 10 times...the dragon battles look kind of gay. You absorb dragon souls when you kill them and gain their words of power so you can press a button and do awesome stuff like breathe fire.

That was one of the most underwhelming conferences ever... games were either completely, 100% as expected, or a letdown. No surprises, nothing interesting in the least, and even the new Tomb Raider looked crappy. The most "interesting" thing there was the new Ghost Recon letting you randomise your weapons.

I can say with full certainty that the Double Fine Sesame Street game was by far the most compelling game on display. For a game targeted at small children, it actually looks pretty good compared to most of the other crap in the genre. And I'd much rather play it than fucking Gears of War #537.

It was funny that when they brought up Halo 4 in the ending suddenly everyone went positive on the stream comments. Short memory.

"the scale we are doing" you mean killing 5 guys and watching cutscenes do the rest?

"this is all-out galactic war" as demonstrated by running through a linear corridor and popping moles

Mass effect three is about huge scale battles with huge choices and of course HUGE consequences

Edit: Also, we just saw a LIVE reaper... It was a huge fourlegged mech. Bringing it back sure was epic... you were standing on a flying piece of cover waiting for the scripted airstrike to call in (you could also shoot it but that had no efffect).
