New console with awesome new controller? More powerful than existing consoles? Versions of games that are as good as existing consoles or better? Fucking Metro or Battlefield on a Nintendo console?

Yeah, Nintendo wins E3.

Okay, that settles it, Nintendo wins E3.
Nintendo starts to release same games as other plataforms = Nintendo Wins E3
You do realise that the opportunity provided by the new controller is pretty damn cool as well, right? It's not just that they're back in the game as far as games go, it's that they're doing it while still coming out with hardware that's innovative as well as powerful. We haven't really seen their online strategy, which kinda sucks, but if it's as robust as something like PSN I think people will be happy.

Also, their conference was by far the best in terms of presentation. Surprisingly derp-free aside from Reggie, and the orchestration and celebration of Zelda was a pretty classy way to open. Paced well too, they did a great job of building anticipation.

Looks more like another forced gimmick like 3D or motion sensors...but yeah, MS and Sony are totally copying that from Nintendo too.

Wii-U looks gimmicky still. The real issue is that once MS/Sony release their new consoles, developers won't want to spend the added dev time to take advantage of those features. Hell, they didn't do it for the Wii-mote in many cases. This new controller complicates it even more.

The size of the controller is another issue. Holding it, storing it, etc are all kind of challenges that many people will probably not like.

Technical specifications seem better based on the videos though. I'm sure it'll give the current gen a run for it's money, if the price is right.

What's with the hate? It's not a gimmick, it's Nintendo DS functionality - stuff that generally works - in a home console controller. It's the developers who have to put it to a good use now.

Still, we'll probably see a second round of bullshit like the Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow glyphs.

I wonder how comfortable it will be to use the R1/L1 buttons given the size of the controller?

Looks like the CPU and the video card aren't finalized yet. Weird, given the release date.

Weirder as the CPU and Video card are the only upgrades aside from the controller. Wii 1.5 :(
