Its amazing how much help the masamune family are. Just started a monkey kill route with them as my bonus. Omachi is killing everything in site, but with stats of 8s and 7s, the other 4 (especially 6 action Masamune) are getting alot of action.

Omachi is ridiculously Overpowered. Reminds me of TG Cid from Final Fantasy Tactics back in the day. Once you get her, it's game over (at least for army battles). And just finished my Ran route run, and couldn't finish Orochi because the fucking Shimazu brothers lured the Miko bitch away (not Natori, the other one). I could've reloaded, but I ain't no bitch. Only route I have left is FFA and that Yamamoto chick's route.

Actually, it's my fault that you think the game suddenly took a turn for the "dramatic" with Kou's rape. The truth is the "bad" stuff is her in this game from the very beginning. The problem is that I have - for now - managed to maneuver between it (because I like the characters in this game and I try to save their asses if it's possible).

For example. Do you remember the Hara faction? It was the first one to be conquered by Hümmelgümpf. In that faction there were two important characters - The Lord and the Bitchy Princess Aki. If I did (in my playthrough) one things differently and made a choice that at that time look to me as a positive one. Both of them - The Lord and Aki - would meet a fate far worse then what happed to Kou.

Rance may be shown as a comical figure but the world around him is still grim-darky.

And yes, we may like Rance for him being a happy-happy-rapist-conquer but that's not all... really (a lot of events are waiting to happen). For now buckle up and enjoy the ride because from the moment we saved Kou we entered the "[True] Route".

I think I read about that : the guy goes insane and... starts cutting off things.

This diversity of moods is really quite strange.

He kinda does, unless you mean something other than what would happen if you would have refused to recruit Aki, recruited him, got his 7/7 event a few times and gave Aki to him in the meantime. You know, just because he's so calm and collected about it doesn't mean he hasn't snapped.

Also, this was the "[True]" route all this time, and you can still get out of it if you wish, though by now your options are quite limited .

Well, there isn't an actual scene included in the game. You just get Rance asking him what's up with his wife, and him saying that, oh, couldn't be better, especially since he tortured and cropped her into a good and obedient wife. He doesn't get to live much longer after that.

His top retainers come to him and tell him to surrender would be their best choice of action, he says his wife Aki wouldn't allow it. His retainers then give him a box, which he opens to find his wife's head in it, so he snaps and cuts them down, then keeps her head after going a bit crazy.

I'm fighting the demon army and almost conquered Cairo. Trouble is that when I do so, apostle Gigai/Suzaku approaches. I don't have Hojo Soun, I freed him from the Musashi Oil Fields but he didn't join me yet.

Is there another way to defeat Gigai/Suzaku instead of using Hojo?

Sure, there is.

you can simply use him and see what happens. Definitely worth it.

Otherwise

you'll have to sacrifice one commander. Next you'll have a purple event to contemplate on how to defeat Gigai. After that you'll be able to have an all out battle if you select Rance to fight against him.

In order to have soun make sure you have space for him in your army rooster. Even with that sometimes it takes up to 20 turns for him to join you

Another Demon can match him. Otherwise after losing a few people Rance will figure out a way to turn the tables.
