don't forget that MotB was bashed by mainstream press to death for not being a rpg.
Except it wasn't. 70 is the lowest score it got.

Well, I remember when The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess got a score of 8.8 from Gamespot and people calling it a flop. Remember: Nowadays, anything with a review score lower than 90% is a piece of shit.

70% is a bad score by the industry's standards and indicates you or your publisher didn't try hard enough to bid for a higher one. R00fles.

Scores weren't the problem, that MotB went unnoticed was. Anyone remember those RPGOTY awards?

you very well know that 70 is a very low score by the media and fanboyism standards. look how fanboys go on a rampage when web-sites like ag.ru give their favorite game less than 90% - even when they themselves say the game is "not bad" but giving it the highest possible score (in this case - 99%)

as for your comment - it was bashed. there was a review of MotB that said that MotB isn't a game for RPG players. the newspost about it is still somewhere on the codex.

You mean the review from yougamers that said "Too much of what you see is just a visual prop, and in the post-Oblivion era, that's just not good enough."? Yeah, I guess MotB was bashed but I remember the spirit meter being the usual target, not whether it is or isn't an RPG.

You guys didn´t check the link. The game has an average of 8.7 for god`s sake. It wasn´t bashed.

Being bashed =/=one or two reviewers not liking the game

And I'm repeating that the problem is that MotB went unnoticed with all of those awards.

.....

hints/rumors *for* a 2nd expansion:

-Atari product line-up mentioning a 2nd NWN2 expansion (but that might mean the adventure pack... hey its atari, they are seriously fucked up)

-Anthony at the codex posting "guess the proverbial cat is out of the bag now" in response to the atari product line up beeing discovered.

-Loading screen hints during MOTB, just like the NWN2 OC loading screens hinted at MOTB

-one of the MoW (adventure pack) creators said that when MoW finally comes out it will be coupled with some other major NWN2 news. (expansion announcement? )

hints/rumors *against* a 2nd expansion:

-Anthony posting at the codex that many of the MOTB team are working on the aliens project (in the aliens thread) ; Monty of Purgatorio working on the aliens project....
i dunno but if there was a 2nd NWN2 expansion it would be kinda weird that soo many people involved in NWN2 are working on a completely different project rather then NX2.

-OEs community managager Rob McGinnis stating multiple times that they d love to do an expansion which could very well be playing "tricks" but maybe its the truth that they infact arent.

-Atari is a messed up company in trouble. the adventure pack MOW was scheduled for november 2007 and now its march 2008 and still nothing. without a good publisher there s nothing OE can do...
