Development of this mod began before FO:NV was released, but it was released a couple of years afterwards. Is it lore-compliant? Are there any references?

it seems good. i'm not worried about lore. it's a story rpg and it hooked me. it's also detailed with secrets, side stories with xp rewards, side quests with c&c, no hand holding.

I had noticed some minor things - gang of Kings running around Vegas, the same barrier around the city as in FNV, or you can craft Atomic cocktail..

It's lore-friendly as much as possible to not conflict with the story and adds some details to the lore on it's own.
F:N has some key references to FNV in the city of Vegas, yes. Like disassembled Securitron arriving to one technician at police building or city walls looking exactly like the ones from New Vegas.

i don't understand your rating. it's a fallout. with stats and skill checks. with different approaches to quest solving. with meaningful decisions and appropriate reactions to your decisions. for example you can persuade a small village to become slaves for your home vault in exchange for shelter, safety and food.

Hey,

is there an installer for the translation?
Or do you just copy the files over?

Cheers,

I don't know about any installer, in my case I simply copy/pasted the files into the F:Nevada directory.

Again, remember that F:Nevada doesn't need F2 to be installed on your computer. It's a standalone.

I'm a bit confused about the installation:

- Are there newer links? The version I downloaded seemed to be imperfect and I don't know if it was maybe the fault of the App (I used Zip Opener)
- Is the Mod installed after the Download or do you need to install it completely after the download?

Sorry for asking something stupid but is this mod finished? If not, how much is translated?

The game is playable but there are little gaps in the translation. So far I've found two journal entries that are entirely in Russian, one of which provides information that is absolutely necessary to advance the main plot (posts 219 and 220 cover this). There is also a talking head NPC who is entirely in Russian and who will attack you if pick the wrong dialogue option but he's not really that important.

Not sure but I may have painted myself into a corner in Vegas.

The dialogue with the head Geek is all in Russian. I spoke to him and chose options that didn't result in him attacking me. But now when I talk to the cops, I get the option to frame him using a recording of that conversation. If I try to speak with him again, he has nothing to say.

I know it is possible to clear the ghouls and have them work at the dam because I did it when I played the Google translation years ago. But I can't find the fucking drug lab. I don't have the science skill to have the drug dealer in front of the Hard Rock tell me where it is. The casinos won't give me any quests due to my high karma score, I think. I found the suspicious caravan folks who are hauling junk but can't remember what to do with them. Thought maybe I am supposed to hide in their cart but that doesn't seem to be an option either. I guess I could just move on but that's really going to make my autism flare up. My question is - Did I screw up something when speaking to the head ghoul?

If you found them and didnt use the first occassion to get into the lab by hiding in the cart then its over.
Mod is really long, has lots of quests, for my taste it's even too long. I might finish my playthrough but right now its on hold, i've lost interest, because the plot was really dragging. Might be because of my autism, and doing every sidequest possible.

Hey, it's alive and running!
When I played it right after official release, there was a problem with something called "too many items bug", which happened in original too when your skill button disappear leaving black square. As far as I know it was adressed later.
Also I don;t rememeber much, but this - age of a character play role at least once in quest in a village when they want to burn somebody.
You can convince them with high speech, or if your age is above 32 you need no or less spech skill. )

Hey guys,

appreciate your help: I got Nevada running (RU), and copied the files from the translation ('appearance', 'data', 'f2_res.dat' and 'master.dat') over and replaced with existing files.

But now the game wont run anymore, get the error message "couldn't find/load fonts" (at least its in English).

Plz help ??? :retarded::(

The game can't find *.dat files. Look for fallout2.cfg file in your Fallout Nevada directory, open it in some text editor, and set correct paths for critter_dat, critter_patches, master_dat, and master_patches.

I did eventually find another way to locate the lab

The drug dealer in front of the Hard Rock has a data disk that contains radio frequencies. You can't steal from him but the disk is in his inventory if you kill him. If you have a working radio, you can use it and the disk to locate the drug lab.

Does anyone else get "instruction at referenced memory could not be read" errors when playing this? It has been happening to me when I try to talk to certain people or enter certain areas. Wasn't frequent enough to stop playing and the action that triggers the error would work on reload. Then I got to Area 51 and it happens constantly. Trying to blow open doors in the hangar does it every time. Happens whether I'm playing the game in HD or regular resolution.

Thanks!
And what are the correct paths - is it e.g. Fallout/Nevada/Critter_dat etc.?

so I opened fallout.cfg and found:

critter_dat=critter.dat
critter_patches=data
master_dat=master.dat
master_patches=data

--> what are the correct paths to set??

Thanks!

Just save often in Arena 51 comrade; the bug is very rare after and when you are diligent in your search you only needs to visit this map once.
