Been wondering where they got that information from. Taking NPC roles, what the hell? It's only going to be DayZ level of interaction, maybe even less. You see someone, you shoot.

The perk cards give bonuses to the things you do, so when you will take perks that let you craft better, naturaly someone will play as a 'craftsman'. That's the way of thinking atleast.

There will be many different perk cards which you can choose from, and you only can take a few, which means you have to specialise.

Lead designer from Star Wars Galaxies is working in bethesda austin that is developing this, so one can expect all sorts of specialists. Armorers, weapon smiths, medical, no person could do it all without having 7 different characters in SWG.The specialization led to a lot of great interactions, like don't piss the weapon smith off, or you will be stuck with junk weapons because he won't sell you anything good.

Basicaly what Bethesda is doing, they want the players to be the NPCs, literaly, as shopkeepers, farmers, traders, merchants, wasteland rangers etc

If Bethesda gets this right, it might be one of the few games that lets people role play, even those that are only shooting other people could have the 'raider' perk cards.

Todd said the servers are running in background and you won't even see a server so they must be zone server swapping like in WoW for example, it means you basicaly change servers when you enter each and every zone, so you will be constantly meeting new people that are doing different things....... so you might meet someone that is running a shop and selling weapons, better buy them, because when you will swap zone he will no longer be there because the game swapped the servers in the background, so even though the limit of people will be 32 at one time, it will be constantly shuffling.

This will remind me of the special encounters from fallout 1/2

Except SWG was a massive blunder for the following reasons.
1. How they handled Jedi on the second implementation (the first implementation was fine, the second one broke the game).
2. How they handled the Combat Upgrade (fixed a lot of things, but severly streamlined the mechanics).
3. How they in the end ruined the game with the New Game Experience (turned the game into casual shit).

So SWG being a "good thing" yeah um did you even see the trash fire that game turned into? Same applies with the dude that worked on Ultima Online, a similar situation happened there too. If you go into this expecting a pure sandbox you're going to be disapointed. If anything all I see in this is the worst streamlined elements of SWG and none of the emergent fun shit that SWG was famous for.

Todd said they are creating systems and they will let people loose in those systems and let them do whatever they want and Bethesda games are known to be LARPER heaven, so we will see

"...let them do whatever they want..." is devious developer code for "we will let griefers, trolls and such create all the drama they want so that people are incentivised into buying upgrades". If that is truly what they are going to do, watch F76 turn into one of those mainlander style Flash MMO game crap where the game publishers insert their own trolls into the game in order to push people into buying stuff.

There are no paid upgrades, the microtransactions have been confirmed to be skins only.

I am really surprised by the fact how open-minded the Codex has become towards people like Makabb
I am constantly tempted to rate his post retarded or fabulously optimistic

, and I can't be the only one.

Maybe it is his pure innocent hype.
Maybe it is because no one sane cares for Fallout 76 at all.

Maybe because he's been trolling this forum for almost four years now and we've all gotten used to his schtick
