Consider when Fable was released, consider when MS anounced the 1 million GLOBAL sales.

Also dont link to Wiki ... anyone can writte anything on it and so such information is hightly suspecious

Classic is regional, if a game makes 2.8 millions but never breaks the million mark in any of the 3 regions its not a classic.

And AGAIN a game is only profitable if the sales are enough to pay for development, advertisement and production of the game and so unless you can pull out development costs (that likely were high since Project Ego started around the same time as Xbox launch) .

I think it's fair to call Fable: TLC "shallow". It has some charm as a casual action adventure but most things are pretty superficial. I'm certainly playing a different game to Kamaz: it's definitely combat-centric and the quests aren't varied at all - the side quests are little more than excuses for XP farming and the main quests (all ten of them or whatever it is) all follow the same pattern. Exploration is undermined by the design and character development is pretty simplistic.

You can while away an hour or two doing the peripheral "mini games" and it has a certain lite'n'breezy appeal, as long as you aren't looking for a deep experience.

Edit: a wiki dialogue system is a long way better than no dialogue system, IMO.

I don't know the North American sales figures. And I don't know if they made enough to cover development costs, and I fail to see why you do.

Wikipedia has the Halo numbers about right, and besides, many people view wikipedia all the time... if there is any dispute over an article it's tagged with a big red box at the top until it's corrected. Wikipedia is a good source, don't call it highly "suspicious" just because it proved that Fable sold well.

The whole game, not just the mini games, has a lite'n'breezy appeal, and isn't catered to deep experiences. That's what I've been trying to say this entire thread. If you can't play anything but a game with a deep experience, then don't buy this damn game.

For the record, I personally would choose expressions over wiki. I would, though, choose wiki over nothing.
