Found a way without renaming folder.

Goto C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELEX\data\ini
Open mount_packed.xml with notepad++ or similar program.
Change PhysicalPath="$(savedgames)/ELEX/SaveGames"
to PhysicalPath="save=SaveGames"
Start new game and watch unskippable intro movie again/

Hey guys i playing ELEX here. Minimap is useless,the controls are made by aliens,UI looks like console shit and the game is great . Oh and nice hint/help, there is very useful amulet at the very begining that give you a +1 picklocking,it is in/around a cave that have some bird-rat animal. It is in the tutorial at the beginning,before you enter the door to the compound go right and jump over a net wall,after that just keep going the path .

When I saw the animation for climbing that was RisenGuy jumping straight up with his arms raised and then floating forward a meter to grasp on to the edge of the rock I knew I was home. ELEX be.

Met with Duras... I like how I got a mission when I said I wanted to find the thief that took my armor... the missions aren't spoonfed to you, you have to inquire about things to start them.. i n c l i n e

I followed Duras a bit and he stopped so I followed the creek to some ruins and found Elexit and an Audio Log... then I ran to another ruin and there was a guy standing there and I attacked him and he turned around and one shot my ass.. then walked a couple feet away and looked at my body as he lit a cigarette...

reloaded and then went back to where that guy was but avoided him and used the jetpack to fly into his shack from behind and stole tons of money from him

Yeah, put in about 2 hours, thusfar this is the closest they have been to capturing Gothic 1 & 2 - ever. They have doubled down on the GURPS-like skill system too, but will have to put in some more time to see how balanced everything is. The Gothic approach to Choice and Consequence is still here as well, nice to see that.

The setting is obviously a thematic mish-mash, might not be everyone's cup of tea - but if you're just craving Gothic gameplay, you'll forget about it quick.

Seems like all the half-baked game design from the Risen series has been amputated - thank Christ.

On performance, my PC runs it flawlessly, but I can't imagine modern console hardware handling a 100% seamless world like this. Actually grateful they didn't cater for neutered console specs this time, a la R1sen. They've clearly favored the PC by making a world this large with no loading screens. (Just take note, the bad press for this game, will most likely be from the console crowd because of this, apparently it can't break 30fps on ps4/XBONE.)

My only gripes for now would be the UI - but it can easily be fixed.

Anyway, Piranha Bytes might be back guys...

Does anyone know how to view a numerical representation of things like HP, Magic, and Experience points? It would be strange and a bummer if they weren't available somewhere.

Main criticism so far: I really want to know if killing things speeds up with time.
I was playing on Ultra, but i can't stand to fight a dumb critter 5 minutes to get 10 exp while in the same i can make two quests with 200 exp.
Or doesn't PB want me to explore yet and i should make more quests? Questions...

Gothic 3 without mayor bugs, but with factions and more different solutions to quests.
Better than Risen 2 & 3 for sure. (At the moment.)

You can certainly beat on monsters forever to try to level up, but the PB way has always been quest and explore first, fight things later.

From the first 4 hours of play, I can excitedly say that this is giving me warm and tingly Gothic 2's all over.
