Real men play Outlaws without doing drugs for the challenge.

Nothing but ELEX straight up in the veins.

Yeah, playing Outlaw myself, best setting/base imo, cool weapons, pretty fun quest line too. It's still very, very easy (melee only).

Been a while since I last played, but from what I can remember, on the highest difficulty, a large group of Albs can still fuck you up at high level/full gear if you're careless. Unless you have that Cleric PSI AoE power that stunlocks everyone to death, which is the game's "press button to win" mechanic.

And Cleric "Cannot die" power.

I will,i managed to kill all the bandits and clerics and nazies with it. Also they have the most interesting story ark and region.

I'll bet you 20 Euros that no matter which ending you get in ELEX, ELEX 2 will retcon Jax as joining the Clerics, because holy fucking shit, how do you expect to fight a species so advanced they've mastered inter-planetary travel with a literal curved wooden stick that sends another straight wooden stick flying at speeds so low they can't penetrate anything than the type of armor worn in the technological dark ages several hundred years ago.

The whole "Berserkers converting Elex to Mana" thing always seems kinda useless in the face of an invasion of a super-advanced species from another planet. Like, yeah, you're going to make their process of terraforming more difficult, but they'll just wipe you all out and then get back to it.

Why not the just use the Albs then? They have far higher advanced technology then the Clerics. There is also the matter of
Hybrid seeming to imply that even he could not do nothing with Elex to prepare humanity against the Alien threat.

What if all 3 factions used Mana instead of Elex to develop advanced weaponry?

That's implied, yes. And their object of worship is rather silly. But otherwise... their technology seems to closely mirror the Alb technology. Copy even. Never had the feeling that it was inferior.

I always hated the berserkers since they would not shut up about my jetpack and pip-boy.

I am curious to see what will come. From the first game i think they are not such aliens, elex was alive for sure and it was pretty interesting mystery to piece together. I believe that they will be something like elex,a single big thingy that mutates people and things. Fuck Elex had very satisfying exploration. And sure, lets bet a bottle of good rakia on the clerics.

Does anyone know if there is a way to turn of the action hint for climbing? There is an option to toggle action hints in general but it dosen't work for the climb hint.

i am thinking more of the aliens are actually also facing their own crisis and their landing in magalan along with elex meteor is some kind of a last resort thing so there are limited number of them and they left most of their technology in their home planets or something.'

of course setting up for ELEX 3: "OH TURNS OUT THE ALIEN IS JUST FLEEING FROM EVEN SCARIER SPACE GODS" i dunno. i do hope they don't go this way and think of something my uncreative mind can never conjure up but it's PB.

"ELEX was mana harvested from ancient magical creatures, and it was turned and stored into crystals in a form usable by the aliens."

I like Outlaws for weapon - heh, sword-saw or saber-saw is best. I'm actuall 1 wing short from wielding sabre-saw - just one wing, I can make ring that will add to Dex I think.
But thematically I like Berserkers - no technology seems like antithesis to out wronged civilization, at least on the surface.
There is nothing better than live united with nature.
Barefoot babies - mmm...!

Question about 2h weapons: buy, use legendary or upgrade? I am playing a melee char and with the exception of a fire hammer II that I randomly stumbled upon while exploring, all I found were ranged weapons. I am sure I will find some 2h legendary melee too but would it be wise to upgrade my current weapon or just use that? Also, is there such a thing as a medium or large gemstone? I found only small ones so far so I'd assume that either you can somehow combine those to a higher tier or just use them as they are.

Legendary melee gear often has very high & weird (reversed?) stat requirements, so it mostly works for quirky (and extremely focused) builds.
Buy (or find, like that FORCE hammer or Fire SWORD) & upgrade your faction arms (eventually all the way to Tier III). Don't think you can buy (or find) ready Tier III - AFAIR.
