Just in case, I'm pulling that stuff out. It has apparently gotten some unwanted attention.
Besides, I see that EA & Bioware are now busy making awful PR with smart Potemkin quotes. This is probably enough for you to judge the game quality
Busted on the UDIC Facebook group.
I really hope this game costs them a lot of money. Would be pretty nice to see it crash and burn.
They have spent two years doing this. A fair lot of money has to be involved.
Yet, I do not believe it will work. Despite the Ultima name, there is nothing that will set it apart from the rest.

What are the rest, though? I don't play these types of games. Maybe this game is revolutionary within its subgenre(s)?
It just seems strange that supposedly huge "fans" of the original Ultimas would even defend this thing.I am reading those, although of course not feeling welcome to participate anymore. It is funny how the people in the alpha in that group are trying SO hard to defend the game after they had this exclusive sneak peek. I am not sure this is genuine interest in U4F or, simply and bluntly said, trying to be in good terms with Bioware Mythic (to whom I owe nothing, except the further rape (I know they love that word) of my favorite franchise)
But yes, some good points are made.

It's like Ultima IX all over again. Some action game that is Ultima.... in name only. But has nothing whatsoever any essence of an Ultima game.
