I'd say that most people will instantly understand what Boatmen of Styx means and even enjoy the name. Replacing it with Caravanmen of Faruk and adding long-winded explanations are a less attractive option, I think.

about the Krokspar (weapon).
I guess it could come from the Old Icelandic for "krok spear" : barbed head of a spear, which fits according to this weapon description.
So it could be one more fictive arrangement "made in Vince" or a volunteer typo error (missing "e" in "spear"). Good Game :salute:

Any botanists/herbalists around here? Do you know which real plants/mushrooms resemble AoD ones?

amaranthus extract -
for our French translation, we went with Amaranthe, the flower that never fades according to wiki, so I guess it fits its AoD/Dr properties

emoryl roots -
I never find anything under Emoryl name, but maybe the Emoryi species, which include the desert lavander. Not sure but as the name is quite the same, maybe an inspiration for the emoryl?

quicksilver roots -
This one gave me headache, as it cannot be the quicksilver (aka Mercury) : a metal can't have roots. So I gave him a french female name: instead of (racine de) vif-argent in French, we choose "vivargente", an imaginary plant. I even asked Arch-Vile how they translate it for their spanish version, here is his answer
"We translated "quicksilver" as "azogue", which is also an archaic word for saying "mercury" in Spanish. I think it's an imaginary plant, and it could be possible that the in-game roots absorb large quantities of mercury, which may give them their alchemical properties, or something like that."

kadura leaves -
Never find anything about Kadura or something like that.

Again, maybe a name which finds its inspiration from the Lavatera plant?

Yeah, I know but some botanist/pharmacologist/chemist would surely find some plant with similar properties.

Amaranthus I've found, forgot to delete it from the list above when I was posting it (in Polish it's either called amarantus or szarłat).

As for the rest, this is what Darth Roxor came up with:

Tutaj jest trochę myk, którego chyba nie oddamy, bo "quicksilver" to jest w ogóle "rtęć" w ujęciu alchemicznym. Mogłyby być "korzenie rtęczniaka" też, czy coś w ten deseń, ale wtedy "quick" idzie w odstawkę.

kadura leaves - liście kadury chyba będą ok. Kiełki awatery też.

I dunno exactly.
But I would say interface is easily the bigger part to translate, from items desc to the combat log and all the player sheets.

Even though Dungeon Rats is much smaller in scope than Age of Decadence it's still a lot of work for one person. We've done it in about 4 months with a 7 men team, although most of the work was done by 2 people (Darth Roxor and RPG-center.pl admin - Sentenza, the order of in game credits reflects amount of work done).

You guys should have cut me out of credits since i didnt contribute past first few days... Attention span of a true homo sapiens.

Sunfire has now created for AoD the same multi-language project like he did for DR:
I've created AoD multi-language project for easy management and translation.
It includes FR and RU languages now.
Having some free time and big band of volunteers translators I could add any other language to it.

Just PM him if you're interested for a translation.

A minor game update makes the translations obsolete. So there is now the "previous version warning".
From our programmer:

- Fixed a bug when the AI changes enemy priorities after weapon switching, which causes eternal loop of weapon switching;
- Fixed savegame time displayed incorrectly;
- Removed some unnecessary console warning spam;
- Implemented scalable fonts;
- Fixed party following code sometimes causing freezes during savegame load;
- Fixed shield not affecting defense value;
- Added new attack effects;
- Fixed bugged crit attack animation with long one-handed spears;
- Fixed AP being wasted when trying to poison unpoisonable weapons;
- Fixed item duplication bug in loot screen when adding schematics.
We should check what is this new attack effect to fix the right files then rework the options panel to add the scalable font option
