Do you win Forge? I lost with 4/10/10/4/10/2, 4/10/10/10/4/2, 10/10/10/4/2, 7/8/10/4/9/2 and 7/10/10/4/7/2 all the time.

I took the forge. I had to use 9 points in alchemy (neurostimulant, poison) to win the first fight. To beat the second fight, I draw Scaurus from the rest and block them with liquid fire. Kill him, then did the same thing with the two guards. The remaining bowman I killed with aimed attacks at the head. I was using gladius/murmillo helmet/heavy scorpion armor/ infantry shield (10 crafting).

Just beat the game with a party for the first time. Made a 4/9/4/9/4/10 crossbow/dodge character(4/10/5/9/4/10 after using the cannisters). It was obviously much easier than solo, especially by the end of the game. Found it p. fun overall.

The masochist inside of me is telling me to do an ironman run next, but I'm scared.

BTW, I tried sword + dodge and dagger + dodge before. I even place them in second and third spots on my list, but they feel too risky on construct fights + you must go with 4 INT, which add even more risks along the way.

I soften up the first two Melee Constructs with the Dagger until the two Ranged get within striking distance. Melee fighters go down to the knife and then I engaged with the closest Ranged Construct. They pelt me with arrows but my armor absorbs most of it. First Ranged Construct is nearly dead and disengages, ends up beside the second. I pelt them with four or five Strong Liquid Fire Vials and they both die. Second one tries running like a bitch but I ain't havin' it. Didn't even use a Bomb/Fire on the Constructs before these four.

Do you play Ironman? Because I see you left with 3 hp only. That exact risks that I'm talked about before. If you have enough liquid fires, then you can kill 3-4 of them in the second turn.

Same as my spear run. For sword+shield I use neuro to close in with archer and kill him, then get netted and run from enemies, while I'm steel debuffed. 7 STR + 10 CON + 10 crafting Heavy scorp armor + infantry shield + 6 DR helmet + kopes + 10 block + 10 sword + 9 alchemy = death. Enemies ignore my shield or my armor every time. I hate block for that reason. You just dont feel this extra DR from shield or armor. I guess I was unlucky. I wonder how you suvived with 4 STR + 10 CON...

I killed the net guy first. He has shit armor and for some strange reason he didn't use the net this time. I think it was the amount of damage or the way I pressured him. Then I killed the two guards and only them I killed the archer. The real problem is not block, but bad positioning, nets and bombs. Bad positioning you can fix by yourself, but nets and bombs are crazy. The best helmet with 10 crafting is murmillo. It gives you 7 DR and no penalty.

First impression, this game is hard, quite a bit harder than AoD actually. :incline:

Indeed. I have the same impression, and I got pretty good at AoD combat. Still haven't completed the game on murderous psycopath (completed it on the easier difficulty just to see more of the game...) , have to reconsider my build again I suppose, and probably look again at tactics and strategies. The game is great and it really met, and at times really exceeded, expectations. Also managed to lured one of my friends to get the AoD + DR bundle on Steam.

Murmillo with 10 crafting gives you 10 DR IIRC(sky metal). I wouldn't recommend spending it on armor stuff on party mode though as it's so scarce and armor takes a bigger amount of metal. I use it on weapons instead and leave blue steel for armor.

Finished G3 a few weeks ago and Tyranny yesterday, this is next on the list. Bought and downloading now, have a feeling the combat will be the best of the three.

Now, it's out. The bomb nerf is going to make life pretty hard for me...

I just launched the game after the update and BRAVO to you guys for making it so that placing the cursor over an enemy shows their name & HP and highlights their portrait in the turn order. That's a big quality of life booster especially in creature fights where every enemy looks the same.

Check new Realms of Arkania: Star Trail. It early access nw, but have very promising gameplay and combat. I hope they make it deep and tactical enough for wargamers like me.

Aimed legs is only for enemies that use dodge.

We are doing an alchemy balance pass for the next version, along with other balance changes. We'll do some more extensive changes for update 3, along with new additions. We are also adding ally/enemy markers, and improved visuals for creature armors and bomb explosions.

This was update 2 or 3?

Oh, what you plan now for next update?

Tab should toggle icons above bodies you can loot.

Nets should be nerfed. Their use are abusive against players on solo.

One thing that doesn’t make sense is that when you decide to fight Barca’s team, his other followers that were helping you (Marcus, etc.) take your side. They should jump at you, or at least you would need something that explain this behavior (maybe a dialogue or a stat check with charisma).

There is a dialogue with Marcus, as for the rest, Vince has explained that they were expandable (Marcus too, hence Barca offered his help) and not in the inner circle of his most trusted men.

He is disposable, but he wouldn’t be crazy to take your side over his former boss with a bigger team, and his boss wouldn’t consider your loyal follower just because you two did some tasks together.
