It feels surreal seeing attractive females in a game trailer. Capcom is awesome.
Say NO to she-goats in video games!

Really one of the top10 of all time.
It's unlikely that DD2 will do do it justice, tbh.

I wonder if the anime will be taken into consideration even if it's just a cameo.
The story and plot was larggely unrelated to DD's, but

it had a somewhat interesting story about the Arisen becoming less and less human and the pawn doing the opposite.

I do wonder if we'll get another official Berserk DLC for this game as well.

Maybe. There was a Memorial Edition broadcast of the movies that the original game came out alongside at the end of last year with some new stuff in it, and the manga just started back up last month.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw items that were references to past Capcom fantasy themed games like Red Earth, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Magic Sword, Breath of Fire, and maybe even their D&D games.

Capcom has been posting some art past fantasy games lately. The head artist on the game (Daigo Ikeno) was one of the higher ups on Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection, he posted out the old concept art showing with the beast man he did for the original game last year, and he also recently commented the Magic Sword promo art Akira Yasuda (Akiman) posted. With regard to the Capcom art account, they’ve also recently been posting some Power Stone art; and a Power Stone remake was on the leak list for 2024. I think the Capcom art account was also posting a bunch of Street Fighter stuff right before Street Fighter 6 was officially announced.

He’s posted this normal proportioned Arthur drawing a few times during development too.

Unless that statue in the town is showing off a kind of weapon you’ll never get to use yourself in the game, it looks like there’s going to be a class that uses a Halberd.
Why not just make it a Warrior skill set?

They could do that. But I’d think polearm weapons would largely have different attacks than the giant swords and warhammers the Warrior uses. They probably would’ve just done that if the first game if that’s the way they went in this.

It could be some reworked version of the Spirit Lancer class from Online. They also reuse some animations from the King Cerberus weapon in Devil May Cry 5, or do takes on those attacks.

Supposedly the game starts in a prison. You're the real arisen and the king/duke/whatever is a fake. Beginning entails escaping the capital or something.
Sounds like if they started it off right around where DD1 went off the rails: after the Duke's trials where you figure out the Duke's nature and are jailed and then escape from prison...

After that point the game starts hitting clearly unfinished plot points like the Salvation cult, etc.

I think there might be a twist. This Duke wears a strange heart around his neck, he actually commands pawns, and moreover he's still young. It's as if his covenant with the Dragon still stands. I believe that unlike our previous Duke, this guy was smart enough to try and imprison the Arisen before shit hit the fan.

Another thing is that I hope they rework the defense calculations. Late Dark Arisen I found myself spamming Holy Bolt because my Sorcerer had to beat physical defense for some reason and Holy Bolt was the one thing that hurt the final bosses. And spamming such a cheese skill just feels bad.

Some of the other spells have physical components like Gicel and Bolide and their high versions.

Oh yeah, but those barely did the trick. I danced with Damien for what must have been half an hour, hitting Gicel after Gicel and it barely made a dent. I used Holy Bolt and there went one health bar.

I don't care about more skills for warriors. I liked the simplicity of the class. Just give them a double jump or something to deal with fliers. I'm pretty sure the most popular mod for Dark Arisen was the one that increased jump height.
