Typically at the Game Awards, they stick pretty close to which games review the highest. And right now, Yakuza 8, FF7 Rebirth, and Refantazio are all well ahead of it in that regard.

I would assume it's a mix of internal politics, bribes, and virtue signaling. Like EVERY single award show on the planet.

But what do I know, I don't fucking pay attention to something as pointless as the Game Awards.

Looks like that's it for tonight. Let's see whether it changes on a weekend. Probably yes?

Veilguard doesn't even have a chance for Best RPG at the game awards, let alone GOTY.
Lol this is going to win every industry award that exists. They'll fucking make up awards just so Purpleguard can win them.

Are you being serious? You can see how the industry is treating this thing. They NEED a win for 2024.
2024 has been a pretty awful year so Veilguard still stands a chance, but I don't think so. Even Inquisition's GOTYs were met with a collective groan. One cannot underestimate the influence that The Witcher 3 had when it came to re-educate a big part of gaming media.

Entertaining hour or so getting caught up. You know, this game has a lot of distubring, genuinely disturbing shit. But for various reasons, this is what made me shake my damn head in disgust the most. It's even worse if you watch it in motion.

The common fanboy cope I've seen that pisses me off the most is "Every Dragon Age game is pretty different from the last, so, if you don't like it, you just hate change."

Yeah, every entry is different from than last. And each entry has gotten progressively worse that the last!

They depend on this weekend. On God fearing countries, november the 1st is a holiday, so they're in the "we'll do better in foreign markets" territory.

Of course, the USA is a pagan land full of heretics, so they're fucked over there.

I'm watching Cohh20DicksInMyMouthCarnage play this shit, and between the 15 minute long autistic monologues he does all I see is the same auto attack animation over and over and over and over again, while this needlessly intense and loud battle music is playing. 10/10 GOTY for sure gays. Preordering tomorrow.
that is the patented AWESOME BUTTON technology at work

I think BLACK OPS 6 might actually be the AAA critical darling this year. It's also been hailed as a "return to form" of sorts.
Everyone with this returning to form... what about returning to ideas?

No hablo ingles, what's that pulling barve shit?

Barve new world.

Still no idea what this barve thing is about though.

A barve is doing pushups as punishment for misgendering someone. Because a verbal apology isn't enough. It's origin and explanation comes from this scene in the game. Edit - Using a different source for the video.

These numbers are actually worse than i thought. I predicted it to hit around 100k shortly after launch at least because Bioware fanbase are shit eaters and the game had an extensive media coverage.
Fuck me and my degenerate ways. I already made a tidy sum on the Yankees game today and within an hour I was trawling betting sites trying to fight the roll it all into a bet on the US election.

If I could bet (and believe me, if you know the itch, you know I'm getting it) I'd put 70% of my winnings on VG cracking 100k within a week and, if the payout was a little better, another 30% on 150k. I'd take a gentlemen's bet on 200k and I wouldn't be surprised but I wouldn't put money there.

Honestly I've been bullish on Bioware and VG but if it can't hit 100k, particularly over the weekend, I think it's fair to call it a catastrophe after all that dev investment and marketing money. I still think 100k is just a matter of time but I'm definitely a little taken aback it's not there yet. Circa 100 gigs is a helluva download and people are on all kinds of speeds so I figured that'd slow things down, but I'd have expected a pickup by now.

Bioware, despite of all of the changes they've gone through, still can't get over FF7's release.

100k is nothing. Like it doesn't even beat a game called fucking BANANA (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2923300/Banana/ WTF IS THIS???). BG3 literally beat counter-strike the day it was released and I'm sitting here trying not to compare Gayguard to Warthunder because it's different game genres.

TOP OF THE CHARTS (number fucking 12 on release day.)
