"Audiophile" tier headphones offer a quality that's auditorily equivalent to speakers that are of 10x the price. Each have their pros and cons that need weighing up.
Even cheap headphones provide more clarity than average not cheap speakers.

None of two address room acoustics. Clarity is of no worth if its inside your head therefore no instrument seperation, just like multi thousand speakers won't have specified frequency or time domain response as most users don't have sweet spot considerations just buy furniture that gets parachuted into right places of an untreated room then "optimized digitally" , magic, riiiiiight...

You can rest assured when the instruments were laid out , the source wasn't moving with the guy's (in front of mixing board) head but it was firmly entrenched in front and stayed put. So it was nothing like that.

What's the point of using headphones if you live alone, or even simply have a separate room? The only justification is the microphone.

I use these, but I'd rather switch to having just two large loudspeakers instead. I used to have them and the quality was pretty much the same. All the endless cords are a bother.

No, I don't feel any dent, but even my padded Sennheiser 6XX headphones hurt the top of my scalp. I don't play that much anymore. My daily movie watching is over 90 percent with a seven speaker system. Only some of the ones that are in mono or stereo I watch with amplified headphones. PC games, I alternate between the headphones and Audioengine A2+ desktop speakers. For music, headphones only, because they sound a lot better than said speakers. I like speakers, but can't be bothered to buy really expensive desktop speakers right now.

Noise cancellation if you have barking dogs or live in a busy part of town.
In a silent house or apartment there is not too much point to them, maybe privacy when you have zoom meetings about state secrets with open windows or watch porn idk.

Every single gaymer set of this type is garbage, tried a few 15 years ago, each one more expensive, they take little space and are cheap and sound quality is acceptable, but headphones are even cheaper, take even less space and have much better sound quality.

Eventually got used amplituner with a pilot and two decent column speakers of reasonable size, costed me 300$ ( new set would be around 1000$ ) and never looked back, I doubt there is any point going anything more expensive either.
Amplituner because I didn't want to clutter my desk with amplifier and good luck finding decent stereo amplifier with a pilot at reasonable price. If I had a big, wide desk like now, I'd go for some stereo amp of compact size instead.

Surround is also dissapointing, do not bother, my amplituner is 5.1, but after my experience with gaymer sets, I didn't bother with anything but stereo.

As I said, I'd rather have two big loudspeakers instead of this complicated system, although I have no complaints about sound quality. I just got this set because the guy selling it gave a good discount (from 150 to 50 dorra).

The point of loudspeakers isn't that the sound is amazing compared to headphones, it's that they are infinitely more convenient than having some stuff sit on your ears or in your ears for hours upon hours. And the sound quality is generally pretty good unless you are some sort of an immersion audiophile freak. Depends on what you want from it, too - say, how are you supposed to listen to music or audiobooks on headphones while not explicitly sitting at your PC.

Headphones will fuck your hearing up.

Source: I have tinnitus
It's because the skull squished the parts of the brain that are responsible for hearing, stunting them. Such are the consequences of gamer dent.
