Please tell me you guys didn't use GameBryo again. I don't think I could handle any more microstutter even in a turn-based game.

It's not Gamebryo. It's our own engine.
You can try to solo the SP. Just tell your party member to "stay here" at the start. But good luck, the combat is gonna be hard, because it's supposed to be party based, so you'd expect players to build a party.
The editor allows you to create SP adventures. The editor even allows you to create a 6 character party adventure.

Can you modify the base campaign? Does that mean you could mod the base game to allow for 6 characters? I mean, it would probably totally unbalance the game, but still.

We can make 6 party adventures? You hear that Grunker?

:bounce:

I must be the only one who thinks "the less, the better" in that regard. :?
Yes. Yes you are.

Knew it, god damnit.

I'm probaly also the only one who liked the singe PC combat in Fallout because of how it - forgetting the bad AI for a second - made the combat feel more personal to the character.

Jaesun Larian are true bros here with the ending too, who would've thunk it. :incline:

You have a good point, undecaf, especially in comparing the combat to Fallout. I think there's equal value to enjoying a smaller party to that of enjoying creating an entire party on your own.

When first reading about D:OS, I have to admit that the concept of having only two characters in the party turned me off. But the ability to add mercs to your party rekindled my interest. I'm not too sure how to judge the interactivity that's going to be going on between your two characters (hoping for nothing too cheesy, but with Larian's trademarked humor being a welcome thing). But I can see how the tactical interactions between them, especially when combined with the options afforded through things like environmental interactivity, could potentially add a lot to the enjoyment of encounters.

As Jaesun puts it, cautiously fapping.

I'm not even cautiously fapping. I'm straight up fapping. The 2-character thing brings back PTSD from playing Beyond Divinity, but all other signs point to this being a really great game.

Indeed. I even think the henchmen Larian is offering should be toggleable to AI control (good or bad, that's how they are); either two protagonists probably won't be and that's fine. Think I'll ask it from them...

Hey will box copies be available after the kickstarter? I'm going to be broke for an unknown period of time and I would like to get physical copies if at all possible.

I've asked them some questions and got answers. Maybe someone else is interested in these:
- One copy of the game wll be enough to play coop (game will be DRM free), but Larian consider it not-bro to play like this and encourage to buy two copies (like in the $40 tier).
- They are working on PayPal options with the same tiers but without the outrageous shipping costs to outside the US (at least within the EU).
- The game will have a boxed version (at least here in Poland, distributed by CDP), but atm Collector's Edition ($95 tier) is exclusive to KickStarter. This may change, however.

@ Damien :
Game length : comparable to Divine Divinity.
The map in the video: was indeed one zone that you saw. It's hard to tell by looking at the map, but it feels pretty big once you start walking around in it.
Zones: indeed also like Divine Divinity. There are 5 zones in D:OS (but the fifth one is smaller than the others, so we may fit it into another zone so there's one less loading screen).

Thanks for the answer.
One more thing, the video said one guy can be sent the jail while the other is unnafected. That menas that one player can play "hero" while the other slaughters the entire city? (I am assumiong that I will be able to slaughter the entire city ;))

@ Felipe: yes, you can totally do that.

Alright. I'll wait for the update on the editor and maybe I'll pledge if you're looking to make it as retard-friendly as NWN1 (the terrain editor looks simple enough judging from the video) :)
