What's that chick's name that plays game music on violin... Lindsey something? Sven ought to reach out to her.

It's funny you say that, because Herr Mannelig is a classic swedish folk tune. Swedish folk derives from medieval stories.

Vanessa Mae?

Oh she's good, for sure. I was just going for the gamer hook, since I've seen people virtually fapping to Lindsey Stirling all over the net over the last couple of years.

I've always liked V.M.'s rendition of Toccata & Fugue.

You're all completely bonkers. Mae used to be a relatively successful crossover artist, who charted quite impressively. Stirling videos have tens of millions of views on jewtube, meaning she is essentially a new version of Mae. Do you nutsacks want Larian to blow all of their kickstarter money on one fucking violinist or something?

Larian has one of the best composers in the biz, in-house.

But no, let's pay a ton of cash to get awful youtube celebrities and shitty german festival-bands to create music.

Wait, what? Larian is spending kickstarter money for this hipster shit? To have a youtube celebrity create music for the game? After the in-game music ("in-house") from Divine Divinity? :decline: :rage: :x :mob:

Mrs. Taylor Davis should be inexpensive - she could use D:OS as self promotion - like In Extremo in Gothic 1.

No, they want to hire a female violinist. Celebrity or not.

Kirill is in-house? What does he do when there is no demand for new tracks? Or is there always demand for something new? I would have thought work as a composer for a video game developer would be very seasonal and dependent on the stage of Larian's production and so better suited to contractual work. It'd be interesting to see what he does from day-to-day.

I got the impression Larian was looking for a Divinity fan, and amateur, not a professional, given that the final recording date was set at very short notice

Here's a shocker for you: violinists exist outside of Youtube. And they are most likely better, cheaper and closer.

The sky is blue, water is wet, women have secrets - I'm deeply shocked :)

Of cause I know some very good violinists in my local area - would be a bit boring to describe their music with my words only over the internet.
