Obsidian has backed Original Sin, but InXile hasn't yet. What is this treachery ? :x
That's probably because Brian Fargo is butthurt at D:OS not supporting the Kick It Forward initiative.

They probably don't want to do it, because they aren't fully funded by kickstarter only getting additional funds from it.

But Torment itself is not 100% Kickstarter supported on many levels. Even without considering Fargo's own 100k.

Unfortunately Fargo is now with his nose over most clouds. Between 2 KICKS successfully founded and the 500 interviews thrown around the internet in the last months, I cannot fully condemn him for losing the touch with reality. But it still happens and it is obvious in the cadence of his answers here and there. Have I mentioned the humongous amount of ass-kissing he received lately? I just hope he will deliver what we expect and, who knows, keep delivering afterwards.

As for Larian, they are not in the same West (US) coast cool club. They are cool for us but their Kickstarter is not received by media and most of developer (especially US) community with open arms. It is obvious they dont have the connections (and the name, to be sincere) Fargo or MCA have. As someone said there is almost no notice on the big sites about the last day of the Kickstarter and, in many of them, no mention at all.

I am obviously running off topics here, excuse my noobish ramblings.

Good luck in the last hours Swen and ForkTong and team.

True even a Potato gaming site - CD Action - reported on Torment and Eternity but nothing on Divinity.

They just discussed making the Watch and Codex factions friends in-game and making the in-game representations of DU and Myrthos be lovers. :D

Edit: crap, ninja-ed! :P

ForkTong Just wanted to say, you folks did an absolutely fantastic job on the Kickstarter, not only producing updates every day, but making them content-filled and entertaining. Hope you're all feeling awesome right about now. :salute: Looking forward to the live stream.

This is weird. I was told the codex was an unruly place, filled with trolls. I thought I'd feel right at home here. Now on one hand, I have to be friendly because I'm working at Larian, I cannot comment on too many things because the replies will be along the lines of "OH YEAH WELL WHY DONT YOU DO IT BETTER THEN", and now this. You're actually being friendly.

This does not bode well. We have signed our demise.
Think of it this way: now that you've raised expectations to an impossible level, the inevitable vicious Codex backlash against unforgivable minutiae such as bread dough baking unrealistically quickly will be twice as harsh.
