You can follow the dialogue in the log - it's entered live while it is happening. That's what we are doing, and while not ideal it works well enough as long as your coop partner informs you if an important dialogue is happening.
Well, of course it's suboptimal, that's what I said. But it's also currently the best option, it certainly beats trying to follow on-screen popups or the log.
something so relatively minor
I don't think you'll have to wait long
This is like that polish thing Josh Sawyer's stalker was talking about
You clearly don't like your friend all that much (or he doesn't like you) if you're running ahead of him all the time. Thanks guys. That is preeeeetty dumb if you ask me. I like everything about the game so far, but standing around waiting for my partner or him waiting for me to finish conversations is pretty stupid. They might as well just bring up the dialogue window whenever you're within reach.
I also think we missed a couple of dual dialogues already from being too far from each other

Your solution is to get new friends. Also, I just saved you spending money on therapy.
Jesus, is Grunker complaining about co-op in every thread?
Yeah, so far the dialogue system mechanically is the weakest aspect of our co-op too. The floating text vanishes too soon from the NPC, and from the player character, well, it's just as well as if it wouldn't be there at all. The log is okay, but with tons of NPCs telling about CHEESE HALIBUT TOMAAAAYTOS, it can easily get lost. I guess a separate log option for player-initiated dialogue would solve this - or fixing floating text timers to have texts disappear when the player hits next option ONLY.Thanks guys. However, what you can do while your partner is talking, is steal everything you see. Enter stealth, steal shit. Ask your partner to make sure they start the dialogue in such position that would keep the NPC's back turned towards everything potentially valuable.
It's just a thing to patch, I'm sure Larian will fix it soon enoughLet's not anger the prissies further: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...-sin-co-op-mechanics-discussion-thread.92752/

Jesus, 5 pages already. I'll check it out once I'm more awake.Inb4 metro complains about me posting about this:
There are two issues here. One is what you say. I'm sure that will get fixed. However the other is the range or dual dialogue and multiplayer choice. I'm not so sure about that. That's the issue we debate in the linked thread.
Skyrim sold millions in a day- D:OS, well, i don't know, but i will be happy if it sells 500K in its first month. So, to go back to the real issue, DOS is still #1 on Steam. What's up with that? Isn't this weird? Can DOS become the Skryim of non-retarded people?

OTOH, it sold something like 140K copies in the first two days (assuming that EA only got like 20K copies out), and it's now been 3 times that. There is hope that they already sold something like 300-400K copies. I like being optimist.
You can do that solo, too. Split up party, have one dude start conversation then switch to the other dude. Play crpgs the way God intended: alone and under two feet from your monitor. However, what you can do while your partner is talking, is steal everything you see. Enter stealth, steal shit. I'm fine like I am now, thanks! You can do that solo, too. Split up party, have one dude start conversation then switch to the other dude. Play crpgs the way God intended: alone and under two feet from your monitor.
