Gonna take me a long time to adjust to that voice as not being Garrett. Just makes me want to play Thief again instead of this.

Yeah, at least Dark Messiah had some kind of challenge. Dishonored 2 should just add Skillshot rating, like Bulletstorm, so all those various ways of curbstomping had some point.

It was hard if you went for all the achievements at once (which I did...you could get all in one playthrough, save for the light/dark choice achievements). I know people shit on achievements, but some developers use them as a "soft" difficulty setting, which I personally think is fun.

By achievements you mean Ghost, Pacifist, etc? Yes, they make game (relatively) challenging, but lock you out of all the fun kill-related stuff.

For the team at Arkane Studios, Emily Kaldwin was more than just a new playable character in Dishonored 2. “It became a bit of an obsession for us to see Emily and treat her the right way,” says Creative Director Harvey Smith. “How would she grow up? What would she look like? How would she carry herself?”

Fifteen years later, the child at the center of the first game’s story has grown into a 25-year-old powerhouse who can easily hold her own. Not only is she the rightful Empress, steadfastly ruling over the Empire of the Isles, but she’s been trained to fight from childhood by her father, Royal Protector Corvo Attano.

“From a character design standpoint we say that Emily’s pillars are: Empress, Dunwall, Assassin,” Smith notes. This stands in contrast to Corvo (also playable in Dishonored 2), who comes from more humble beginnings and originally hails from Karnaca – the setting of the new game. When Emily’s throne is taken from her, she must leave Dunwall for the first time in her life. “The contrast for her is huge,” Smith says. “She was an Empress one day, the next day she’s on the run.”

But Emily isn’t just her own character with her own story. She also has unique powers to tackle the threats ahead. “When we decided that Emily got to have her own powers, they needed to be interesting enough to be as cool as Corvo’s,” says Lead Designer Dinga Bakaba. Find out more about Emily, her motivations, and her unique powers in the latest video, above.

Dishonored 2 launches worldwide on November 11 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Pre-order now to receive exclusive early access and play the game a day before its official release.

It wasn't. I think Ivan is trying to make a joke about the reaction to some previous trailers that were posted ITT. :M

Well, don't expect reviews before the launch: https://bethesda.net/en/article/42QH1pTNpKSYIcgKK2C4wW/bethesda-and-game-reviews

Bethesda & Game Reviews

At Bethesda, we value media reviews.

We read them. We watch them. We try to learn from them when they offer critique. And we understand their value to our players.

Earlier this year we released DOOM. We sent review copies to arrive the day before launch, which led to speculation about the quality of the game. Since then DOOM has emerged as a critical and commercial hit, and is now one of the highest-rated shooters of the past few years.

With the upcoming launches of Skyrim Special Edition and Dishonored 2, we will continue our policy of sending media review copies one day before release. While we will continue to work with media, streamers, and YouTubers to support their coverage – both before and after release – we want everyone, including those in the media, to experience our games at the same time.

We also understand that some of you want to read reviews before you make your decision, and if that’s the case we encourage you to wait for your favorite reviewers to share their thoughts.

Skyrim Special Edition releases globally on October 28 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Dishonored 2 releases globally on November 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

So, this means those who preordered and media reviewers can't make a review on 27.10 and 10.11, but wait day after ?
