Yeah, it's hard to believe that a pure jewel like Dishonored can be a Bethesda game. I wish they'd ditch their open world crap and focus on stealthers and maybe story-driven RPGs instead.

Eurogamer has separately heard word that a sequel is due for announcement tomorrow, although how much of the game will be unveiled remains to be seen.

It's been over two and a half years since the first game was released. That's a pretty decent develoment time for a sequel, doesn't seem very shovelwarey.

It's a decent time and not an awful bi-yearly release, but Arkane made an awesome game with Arx Fatalis. I haven't played Dishonored so I can't speak for or against its quality, but it's sad to see talented studios be forced into remaking their hit game over and over again. A studio like Arkane should have the freedom to make what they want.

This probably won't be a full announcement, just the acknowledgment that it is in development, accompanied with some general talks and concepts. Maybe some content-free teaser, and then the Dishonored: Definitive Edition for PS4/XB1 thrown in. Nothing major, but I'd like to be proven wrong.

If the base game is as good if not better than the Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches DLCs then it's gonna be great (the base game was already great but these two DLCs are excellent).
