so if gwyns first born is a boss in this game, then what was all the hoopla with solaiore?

that looks more like an asylum demon style boss or taurus demon cheesing.

Except for it's not. Like Bed of Chaos or the Dragon God, you can only 1 shot the boss by navigating the map. Goddamn, you souls fags wont admit to fucking anything.
not a souls fag, I only got into this series December last year. Guy who posted the video even says you can attack the dragons legs instead. So again, I will assume it's like the taurus demon in which you can fight it or just cheese it.

Fucking hell. This is such a fucking disappointment, all these spoilers, and streamers, and the nips, and shit.

All I want is for the game to be released SIMULTANEOUSLY FOR EVERYONE, and for people to discover things at the same time and discuss, etc. Instead it's all been nipped in the bud by streamers with their early preview shit, and then by nips, and then by faggots who couldn't help but read it all and then post about it everywhere.

By the time I discover anything on my own and tell someone about it, they'll be like "uh huh, dude, it's been found out by that streamer 4 weeks ago". FROM just eliminated me from the process. Killed the mystery, the thrill, everything.

FUCK YOU, FROM. I'm so angry, I want to pirate their shit, but it's too late cause I already bought it.

Are you retarded? Stop looking at anything related to Dark Souls III if you want to avoid spoilers. It's not that hard. Really. I mean it.

Imbeciles are posting spoilers in this thread. *I posted generic shit but no real spoiler.

IGN is posting headlines with spoilers. In fact most sites are spoiling shit.

Unfortunately, there is a small chance you will not get spoiled before the actual release. Also there is no chance for an early release.

Yes, this is a huge disappointment. In fact is worse than anything I expected: Ubisoft and EA release broken games, many others release underwhelming games but nobody fucked up like this.

Incompetent twitcher faggots which don't even care about the game can play the game 3 weeks before regular paying customers.

Twitch embargo is a complete fiasco. Many attention whores are streaming after the embargo point. No bans were given.

The game graphics were downgraded (new cpu/gpu requirements were posted recently). No dedicated servers for pvp. And other shit.

If we should rage then we should rage towards FromSW and Namco. Fucking cretins.

I've been playing on XBONE for about 8 hours now and all I'll say is this...

So far, I prefer BB and could really see DSIII being a victim of the expectations built by it w/r to consistency of theme, boss and world design, and ultimately the outright uniqueness of it's theme (gothic/cosmic horror.)

But we shall see.

Yeah guys stop looking already...I watched the vaati videos and felt bad almost immediately so now I avoid all youtube shit. I did the same with DS2 and enjoyed it a lot and only looked at videos after I was done with the area to check out a secret or new area

so how isn't as good as BB? How long did it take you to beat previous DS games?
Well, in story, It feels generic. I thought it would be more to it. BB has very unique lovecraftian settings. The best lovecraftian setting till now.
Have you seen the ending?
It's interesting but at the same time same old, same old. Though, DS universe is about the cycle going on. "The cycles must go on." :)
I guess we'll se more in DLC's.

I'm not gonna risk opening that spoiler but I'll admit that I care a lot more about how it plays and how long it is in comparison to the other Souls games or Bloodborne than how generic the story may or may not be. So, gameplay-wise, do you think it holds up?

Also, whether or not it has kick ass areas or bosses, either in looks or in difficulty.

What is the length of it?
About 22-25h. But, you know that Souls games give you a lot to explore what you've missed first time. And first time you'll miss a lot becasue some areas feel like mazes. Not, just horizontal ones but vertical ones too.

No way, dark souls 1 and 2 was 50 hours and bloodborne 35

I will wait for some playtimes from here.

It's my biggest issue with the series.

Demon and BB somehow managed to have an enjoyable plot / climate. Dark is like: I woke up, I followed the order, I burnt - and surroundings are so unreasonable, they simply mixed every mythology.

Yes, when I think about the gameplay, I now realized why they've do it this way. If you remember first launch of DS2. After that, stance mechanic and weapons damage were modified and tweaked almost in every update. DS3 feels a lot more robust gameplaywise.

I can't remember how long it took me to beat DS2 on first try but I did rush through on first attempt and miss entire areas. Torough walkthrough would take longer.

For me, DemS and DS had this charm and unique feeling. DS even more so. BB is the best lovecraft world imagined to this date. DS2 and DS3 story feels a bit worn of.
From always delivers interesting DLC's so story is still to be seen how it'll evolve.

It's downright baffling how much the last 4 games are in this one. There are entire areas that seem to be straight lifted from each game. It's like a major nostalgia trip.

I thought that was the point of the whole "we are influenced by demon souls, dark souls, bb and ds2" thing they've been pushing or else that's what I've gotten from it.

There's influence and then there's shameless copying, like Ornstein 2.0. This is more of the latter.

I regularly beat Dark Souls 1 and 2 in like 25-30 hours, and that's with me exploring as many areas as I can. I think I could do the same for Bloodborne, so long as I ignore that chalice dungeon shite, but I've only beat that once so who knows. Once you get the hang of them, Souls games are surprisingly short. I've heard this game has like 19 bosses, which is comparable to Dark Souls 1's 22. The replay value comes from trying different character builds as well as PVP.

I don't expect much from this game. This jelly pink blood already makes me womit, ombat is fast like in Dragon Ball ir Star Wars - seems like they want even the very youngest audience to play it. Basically, I doubt they have some sort of idea what they are doing - rehash sounds, rehash characters - even same old NPC appears (they tried to introduce new characters in DS2 and that was a disaster). Of course they will put "praise the sun" somewhere, so that even the dumbest could have some fun praising the sun and posting it on the internet.

What shocked me the most is that Miyazaki said he did not liked Dark Souls 2, yet he left all the flaws in his next game  Multiple covenants? Level reallocation again? Really?

Sure, DS entry every year isn't the worst thing, those games are pretty good compared to annual ubisoft crap or anything else. Copies sold - sky high, reviews - sky high, but it feels like true fans of the series are going to feel the shit in their mouth after playing it.
