Whatever with their AA just overrride it from the nvidia control panel, you can either get their own AA options, FXAA or multi-super sample options and you are done. My guess for the shitty AA is they left the implementation for PC for last anyway

Turn off ingame AA and downsample, if you can't hit stable 60 fps you can always turn down half the settings with no appreciable change to visuals.

what are you people smoking ?

Most of games now difference between max and min is just postporccesing and AA. Era where devs prepared 5 different types of models for 5 different tiers of pcs is over for more than decade.

Game also does feature stuff like SSAO and so it isn't like Durante actually needs to do something here.

Only thing it think would be resoulution above 1080p and framerate above 60fps.

edit: also considering that average 'dex PC is running windows xp and Voodoo2 you should probably hope that this will even reach 20fps on your potato pc. Because this won't be DS2 situation or DS1 where game run fullspeed on potato.

Bloodborne runs on 7850+ and have huge dips below 30fps so to play this on 60fps you will probably need something a lot better.

Some light armored dude with katana here, probably mercenary or assassin. I just fucking love the katana in Souls games. Versatile movement set, decent damage, good range, fast swings, and its classy as fuck ofcourse.
Why would you even use light armor when you can apparently go up to 70% weight and still have fast roll according to the IGN video? What's the point besides RPing like some retard?

Recommended specification in shop is saying GTX 750.

That's probably wet dream for majority of posters on codex.

20GB download space. Seems like they skipped the High-Texture pack after all (before that the requirement was 50GB).

2 things:

1st you don't know how actually it will work. All builds provided for "journalist" usually have different gameplay than end game. (more life, etc).
2nd just because you can hit 70% doesn't mean that 65% is like 20%. DS2 worked on that system and beyond 50% load your backsteps were completely useless and you would roll not really a far away.

Unpacking is there reason why companies usually post 50gB for some game. If you have 20GB game you have to have at least 50+GB to actually install it. If you would have 50GB SSD then ther is huge chance you won't be able to install it from SSD itself.

Lol, 970 for recommended, what a joke. I own that card and the game doesn't even look that good to require it. Nice optimisation, FROM :retarded:

I'm curious since it's true that the recommended reqs are pretty high and game doesn't look that good, and yet DS2 was really well optimized.

Btw, this is the most I've ever paid for a game in my life. Maybe I'm being dumb as shit, but I just love dark souls so much. Fuck this, I bought it.

The five percent discount didn't appeal to me. Think I'll take the five finger discount now and buy it later at a better price.

Much wiser for sure, especially now that it's 50% more expensive than it was before. Hype got to me. I hope I don't regret it and this game is actually good.

Edit: sorry double post. I forgot that I had already posted 30 seconds prior.

What's that blurry shit called, the crap that obfuscates shit in the distance? Ambient occlusion? That's the first thing i took out in Dark Soul using DSfix. I can live with some consolitis shit, but that crap is unbearable. If you can turn off all the bloom and all the blurry shit and have the game play in 1080p at 60 FPS i'd be happy enough.

AA and reflections require quite strong GFX card, doesn't matter on optimizations.

Well in dark souls 1 it's used to obscure LOD, isn't it? It's not applied automatically to objects in the foreground/background. That's why I could live with it in ds1. Otherwise I want it dead too, though.

Reflections are often the problem. I can play Assetto Corsa with everything turned on maximum except the reflections and i get a steady 50-60 FPS on a GTX 660. I lose a whooping 10 FPS for every increase in the reflection slider until the game drops to an unplayable sub 20 FPS. Shit is ridiculous. One fucking setting.

Depth of Field. And, yes, it is terrible.

Right, right. I'm so demotivated by this never ending decline i'm now starting to forget basic shit like that. Might as well call it macular degeneration simulator, because that's pretty much what it is.

Well it kinda has to render everything twice with reflections, don't it?

Only the reflected scene. When the scene is largely static, they can cache it.
