If the combat and items could be rebalanced, and respawns reduced and removed altogether in some areas (especially the longer more tedious dungeons) it would be Codex approved without too much difficulty.
I agree, biggest problems are the combat balance and enemy respawning. I really hope a mod can fix that sort of thing, though somehow I doubt it.

Holy fuck I can't see shit.

It's zoomed so far away and things are so small.

Potions take up like 3 pixels of space.

Can anything be done about this?
Hold Alt.

Hold Alt.

That's good for highlighting but is there any way to zoom in or something?

You've uhh...
never played Arcanum, Lionheart or Diablo 1 have you?..................

:rpgcodex:

Ps. If you want to toggle item highlight, press F4, you'll never have to hold alt down again, unless you want to highlight creatures/people.

Sea, once you clear a map only 1 or 2 enemies respawn, usually in one or two corridors. It's not a "problem" I mean christ. Having to fight a single giant bat as I return to a shop is no issue. Having to fight 1-2 skeletons is easy. Don't inflate the problem. Unless it gets serious in chapter 3, then it's just extra xp and cash without much effort.

So is anyone playing Act II all cloak and dagger? I'm going around asking everyone about the cult and telling them what I know.

What could go wrong?

Ring, I started Act 2 as earnestly as possible (Svejk ), but I had to restart because of fucking something up, and decided to play cloak and dagger. I've found cloak and dagger means less assassins come after you, and probably the end boss fight might go differently.

Lower the resolution, bro. It's like you've never played a 2D game before.

I have played a 2d game before.

But this game just came out in 2012. It should be able to display things in good way at highest resolution.

Why am I punished and have to play at lower quality?

Honestly, mang. Jesus Christ.

This is a 2d game in sort-of isometric. These games aren't made for your 1920-1280 monitor to be played in widescreen with HD gfx and 'splosions.

It is what it is. Run it in a resolution the game is happy with, without this entitlement bullshit. You're not being punished. Someone made a game.

They made it 2d. You meet the game in the middle, not every game should have to meet your fucking 2012 standards, especially not one that is made in 1998-2002 era 2D style.

If you don't want to sit with a magnification glass in front of your monitor in 2012 you are stupid

Hurr haven't you played Arcanum?! It's a 2012 game too!

Hurr this game was being made in 2009, don't you know there were no big monitors at the time? 14" was the best people had

Hurr it was planned for 1280x1024 except I'm a fucking dumb moron and do not realize that 1920x1080 is of the same fucking scale as 1280x1024 save for those 56 pixels and it will look microscopic as fuck at 1280x1024 too

2009. fuck, i'm sure i first heard about this back during the gothic 2 NOTR days.

long development cycle and translation, the assets were probably rendered and expected to be played at 1280x1024...and that would have been forward thinking for a 2d isometric rpg.

Skyway skywaying in a thread about a game he isn't playing.

He can run the fucking game at a non-native resolution.

Lower your resolution and stop whining,
only person who you're to tell what your mission was is Glatzburg Bishop, yapping you mouth about would be stupid after you just burned Inquisition Judge for heresy... if You can't trust Holy Office who you can?
Now I am tempted to arrest Templar Bro and try to burn him to check if Templars will hate me in next chapters... this should be evil path in this game. :troll:

P.S. Inquisitor looks better than Skyrim BTW... I feel I like I am playing :obviously: RPG no FPS or Porn F3.... besides it has no blockiness and dated look all 3D games (except Bloodlines with its Comic style) have after a few years time.

I never understood this problem; what's difficult in lowering the resolution in the game menu? :?

There is evil shit you can do. Like accept a woman's accusations of heresy in return for sex with her, and then burn the dude she accuses.

she's a succubus

but I still took the sex. :smug:

Why accept lower quality with modern games just because it's isometric? How is that an excuse to have to play at resolutions almost half my monitor size?

Also why not accept being able to have different levels of zoom?

Is Inquisitor a 1998 game?

Yet PS:T and BG2 with assets made for small resolutions can have a normal UI in 2012 through modding but not a game made and released in 2012 when everybody has 1920x1080 and higher res monitors?

Don't be a fucking moron.

Cool, so Fallout, Arcanum, Diablo 1 & 2, Fallout 2, Lionheart, Divine Divinity, Divinity 1... they all had different levels of zoom and 1920x1280 resolutions as native. Yep I'm with you.

No Argument Here, He is self confessed Conslotard Heretic. Game is not half as fun to play compared to Underail and even AoD... but it is not like we can choose cause mainstream publishers pander to :obviously:

Dude if you want to fit in on the Codex you must love blurry console graphics.
Crisp PC image is shit, blurry console shit makes me feel like playing real RPG again!

Because that's too 90s man. 80s games were the real deal don't you know.

Start being pretentious hipster now or you are not a true RPG fan.

I burned her anyway

My favourite part of Act 2 was recovering the Paladin, Ethien de Pasque's chain of office and then,

Asking him for 10,000 gold to keep the secret of where I found it (a heretical ritual site), the most I could ask for, then accepting 7500 for the secret. Then when I uncovered the heresy in Act 2, I still went and arrested him and confiscated his property and had him burned.

Speaking of the tech didn't development start over a decade ago? With a small team, 2009 release, and that sort development cycle, problems on high resolutions can't be a huge shock. The development time basically means the games built on old tech.

Bullshit argument brah.

Game was made in 2009. Those games weren't.

But how come this game is crispy smooth at 1920x1280 just zoomed the fuck out.

So that it means it clearly can run at that resolution yet because of bad design I have drop the resolution way down and make the game THAT LOOKED SMOOTH AND SHARP, BLURRY
